Pet care experience
I worked as an animal care technician at an animal hospital for almost ten years, primarily attending to kennel boardings and medical stays. I’ve house-sat cats and dogs for multiple days and nights. I currently have three cats of my own, and I babysit my friends pets when they’re out of town! After working at an animal hospital for many years, I am comfortable with changing animal diapers, oral and injectable medications and handling any specific dietary food restrictions and allergies. If your pet has any mobile issues, I can help them around the house, such as helping them get up/down stairs. I’ve also administered insulin and fluids throughout the years. Emily is fantastic! I used to work with her at New Buffalo Animal Shelter years ago. She’s very ambitious and caring for the sick and boarded animals. She listens and takes care of whatever issues that came up. Very trustworthy. Great hire! I wish she’d come back.

I am dependable with feed times, medications, potty breaks, and I love going on walks with animals. I leave everything where it was before I arrived, and I make sure your animal is safe and healthy. I clean up any messes your animal may make, and I will scoop litter. If you want, I can call and text you with updates, and send pictures/videos of your pet to you as well.

I prefer a heads up about whether or not large and giant dogs have been leash trained due to my safety and the dog’s safety. I also would like to know any medications the animal needs to take, any mobility issues or potty issues.
A typical day
I love going on walks, as well as playing fetch and frisbee!! I can also take the dog to their favorite dog park. I like going to this nature path near Lake Lansing road. If the dog is lazy, then we can stay in and watch their favorite show. :) For cats, we’ll play with some toys (I can provide,) and eat meals!

I work full-time, and my primary availability is on the weekends. I am able to provide drop in visits throughout the week days and weekends however!
