Pet care experience
Growing up with multiple dogs and my mother being a licensed veterinary technician has given me the experience and knowledge to confidently care for all types of dogs. I recently graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Chemistry and I am currently working part-time. My shifts at work are typically six hours long and four to five days a week, giving me a lot of free-time to take care of and hangout with your fur babies! I can take the dogs for walks/runs, or to the dog park if that is in the dog's routine. Overall, I love animals (especially dogs) and would love to be able to be around dogs more often since I currently don't have any of my own.
Reviews
Emily is excellent! Our one dog in particular is so picky with other people, but she loved Emily immediately! They crawled all over her and one of our cats came out to say hi the first time she came over to meet them. We were gone for 2 nights, 3 days and it was like we weren't even gone. Our two dogs and two cats were all relaxed and happy when we got back home. She is great in communicating and I highly recommend her to take excellent care of your fur babies. We will be contacting her again!!
Emily watched our dog twice with short notice. She was very communicative and our pup seemed to love having her time with Emily.
Emily walks and watches our attention hungry 7 year old terrier mix. She is very accommodating to our frequently changing dog walking schedule. She sent lots of pictures and updates when she was house sitting and we came home to a happy pup and a clean house!
Emily was a fantastic cat sitter! We are always very nervous to leave our sweet cat Tyler with anyone and some may call us, “helicopter cat parents”! Emily did such a great job of putting our worries to rest and took the extra care needed when watching Tyler. He requires medication and it’s not always the easiest job - Emily has no problem giving Tyler his medication. She also went above and beyond to purchase more cat food when we miscalculated our supply. We paid her back of course! This just proved to us that we could rely on Emily to take care of our precious Tyler. I will definitely be booking Emily again in the future and you should too!

Information Emily C. would like to know about your pet
I am comfortable around all breeds, but would like to know of any health issues, medications, or temperaments that are not common to the breed! Also, I would like to know if your dog has been attacked by other dogs, or isn't friendly with a certain size/breed. It would also be nice to know if your dog tends to be aggressive/protective when first meeting them. This is not a deal-breaker for me what-so-ever, but it is nice to know what to expect when I first walk in to meet them! I would also like to know what their typical daily routine is, such as feeding times, exercise, “potty” breaks, etc. I would also like to mention that my shifts at work range from early in the morning (4:45am) to late at night (11:30pm), and are typically 6 hours long, as mentioned above. I would not be able to go check on your animals while I am at work, but would make sure to let them out right before I left, and I would go back immediately after I got off. If your pet needs to be let out sooner than 6 hours, this is a dealbreaker since I cannot change my work schedule around. I am, however, able to work something out, or further explain any questions or concerns you may have!
A typical day
Activities include going on walks to local parks or around the surrounding neighborhoods. If the owner allows, I would be willing to take the dog to the dog park. I will keep the dog engaged as much as I can and make sure that I am attentive of their needs, as well as making sure to follow their set schedule as closely as I can!
