Pet care experience
Hi! I have a 7 year old rescue dog who is super well behaved, well trained, and loved by everyone he meets. I have helped all of my new puppy owner friends with training resources, play dates, and am the go-to in my circle for dog related advice. I like to hike, go to the dog park, and cuddle with my dog.We both welcome doggie pals in our home. It is just him and I so we can host your pup for a night or more without any issues. I used to work 9-5 in DC, so I fully understand the need for dog care during the work week. I work from home and can create my own schedule, so I am very flexible for dog walking/sitting/boarding services. Feel free to ask more specifics based on your dog care needs! **Since I have a dog of my own, a meet and greet is required for dog boarding and daycare. Overnight house sitting is only offered if I can bring Oliver with me**
Reviews
Emily did such a wonderful job - this is the first time I have left Ollie and made me feel like he was getting the love he does when we are with him. She sent updates and pictures which was so great. Will use her again if needed. Thanks Emily.
We are very pleased with Emily’s care for our dog. She consistently communicates well and shows concern for us and the dog. All very good and we intend to hire her again.
Emily was great! We plan to use her in the future and we would highly recommend!
Emily is a Wonderful Caregiver! Her attention to detail in the care instructions as well as regular updates and communication made it so reassuring and comfortable that my Lily was in good, loving hands. Her dog, Oliver is a sweet soul and plays so well with Lily. Emily is a true K-9 gift and you will be more than satisfied with her to care for your baby. Highly recommend. Will book again with my Girl happily and confidently.

I treat other peoples pets and homes like I do my own. I am very caring toward animals, and keep a clean and tidy home. Any special needs can, likely, be accommodated. I do keep my Oliver off-leash where it is allowed, but I am used to walking him on-leash, as we used to live in DC and the surrounding suburbs for most of his life. Now, I live on a main road, with a large, but unfenced yard. During the meet and greet, we can discuss walks in the yard or off leash playing, whatever you are most comfortable with. Trips to a safe walking/hiking locations are an option for an extra charge! A worn out dog is a happy dog, so that is what I strive for. Exercise is pivotal to a pets health, so let's discuss how I can best acheive your pet's needs. Once again, any special needs will be accommodated, such as: less play time for older dogs, soft food diets, free feeding, medication administration, etc. I have seen it all!

Information Emily C. would like to know about your pet
I just need to know your dogs quirks - they all have them! I prefer medium to large sized dogs, but a small dog is always fun every once in a while. I cannot have a dog that is not potty trained at my house, but I am happy to walk and house sit for those who don't get along with other dogs or have some learning to do in the potty training arena! I have a questionnaire that we will go through during our meet and greet and a handout on what to expect and services offered for you to take home with you. **I cannot house sit overnight if Oliver is not able to join me!** Please note, that I live on a main road and have a large, but unfenced yard. There is plenty of room to play and walk around my yard, though! There is also a horse pasture behind my house, my neighbors have dogs that are contained, but bark often, and the barn cats, chipmunks, and birds visit occasionally. I do require a meet and greet, no matter the service requested. I have done virtual meet and greets for last minute doggie daycare, so feel free to reach out!
A typical day
We go on walks in the woods, have play time with toys and other dogs, go on hikes, play fetch in the yard (this is Oliver's favorite activity,) and have regular quality snuggle time! *walks outside of my yard and hikes are subject to an extra charge. I live on a main road, so these would require a trip in the car.

Availability
Oliver and I are used to getting up between 8:30 and 9:30AM, having breakfast, and going outside to potty. We do not do lunch anymore, but he used to need it when he was under a year old, so I can do that for your dog, if required. We have dinner between 6:30 and 7:30PM, and go outside for some fetch before and after. He is wiped by the end of the day, which makes a happy dog. Expect the same for yours!
