Pet care experience
Hello! NYC native now living in Park Slope right next to the park entrance. I've taken care of dogs since I was 12, foster recently rescued pups in between dog sitting, and am now working fully remotely so my schedule is fairly flexible for taking on dogs who need special attention. I love long pup walks in the park, and there is also a great dog park only a few blocks away if you're comfortable with a sitter taking them there! Since you'll probably be seeing very few reviews on here until I get a few Rover sits in, *please* feel free to message me a ton of questions, or ask for my number and we can do a Facetime so I can answer in detail and show you my apartment! I'm technically new to the app, but very much not new to taking care of dogs, both large and small. I grew up with dogs and have consistently either been fostering or dog sitting for the past 3 years. I have a nephew pittie mix named Tater Tot<3 who stays with me when his parents are out of town, and love how rewarding it feels to give a rescue pup a home and stability while they wait for their forever fam. Looking forward to meeting your pup and giving it the best home while you're away!

Love Emily! So communicative. My dog loves her too!
Emily is great. She was super flexible and I could tell my dog had a great time :)
Emily was awesome with my pup Raven! Raven can be slow to warm to new people (and she’s an Aussie so she’s a high energy anxious) and Emily was great at finding ways to distract her until she could settle in and hang together for the day. Would highly recommend!
I’ve tried Rover a few times, but I’ve never had such a thorough pup sitter as Emily. She sent frequent updates of my pup Koo, and treated her with such kindness. When my pup passes by her apartment on a walk, she wags her tail in joy - which I think is a good indicator :)

I work very hard to make sure that every dog I take care of knows that they are in a safe and secure space. Some of my fosters have been high anxiety and needed time to adjust, while others felt right at home instantly. Either way, they will have their own dedicated corner with all of their comfort toys/blankets for when they need to decompress, and I have a small crate if a smaller den type environment helps them to relax.

Availability
I work from home so I am able to provide 2-3 walks per day. If I'm ever out in the evening (now much more rare since entering my 30s), it's rarely for more than 4 hours. If it's at a pup friendly place I usually bring them with me. Should your dog need to visit the vet for a non emergency, Alison Animal Hospital (224 Prospect Park West) is a block away. Also happy to use your preferred vet, as long as travel costs are covered when needed. Should an emergency illness happen and it's outside of normal hours, VERG — Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group, is the closest emergency pet care facility and a 10 minute drive away.
