The best care for your best friend!
Pet care experience
Thanks for checking out my profile! I am a registered veterinary technician with over 15 years of experience. I offer dog sitting in my home in north Baltimore City, and I really love what I do! I enjoy having my doggie guests, and I enjoy being able to provide a service for pet owners. I take pride in providing personal, individual care for all the pets that I watch. I treat your dog the same way I'd want my dog to be treated, and I treat you the same way I'd want to be treated. I am a registered vet tech and have also been petsitting professionally for over 15 years. I take my responsibilities as a pet sitter seriously, because I know that I am being entrusted with the care of your beloved family member. Safety is a number one priority - when your dog is outside in the yard I will be outside with them. We are very careful about doors and windows being secure, and of course dogs on leash when not in the yard. I'm also vigilant about keeping the yard clean and free of dog poop, and I keep my house tidy and picked up. I usually only watch one dog at a time unless they're a pair from one family (although there are times when there's a little overlap in stays - I will let owners know if this is the case) My yard is fully fenced in. Good for a game of fetch, but I know that's not usually enough excersize for a younger dog! Chinquapin Park is very close by, and I've worked out a route through the park for a good long walk - assuming of course that your dog is willing and able. Pets are welcome on furniture, and there's a comfy dog bed on every level. And I know it is hard to leave your dog behind, so I send updates, texts, pictures so you know how everything is going! As far as my pets, I only have one personal pet, my big fat scaredy cat. We had to put my beloved dog Buddy to sleep this summer, but I'm blessed and grateful to have had him for 16 wonderful years. So now it's just me, the cat, and my fiance, Jarett, who is also a dog lover and great with dogs. I do ask that your dog be house-trained and free of fleas, and up to date on basic vaccinations. I want to make sure I maintain a safe and clean environment for your pet and any others that I watch :) I provide a laid back, very loving, and safe home-away-from-home while you're away. Thanks for looking, and I hope to hear from you! About this sitter: I am a 34 year old registered veterinary technician. I have a lot of experience in the veterinary field, mostly dogs and cats, but I've worked with exotics and horses as well. I've been a veterinary technician virtually my whole adult life and have a degree in this field. I've run dog training classes, and have experience grooming as well. I have been petsitting for 15 years, and have a number of clients, both through work and through Rover, that I've had for years. I take pride in getting to know each dog so that I can provide personal, loving care to your pet. Why I love dog sitting I think pet-sitting is a win-win scenario! I love what I do, I love the dogs that come to stay with me. I'm happy to provide what I think is a valuable service - giving your dog a safe, loving, knowledgeable home as opposed to a loud and uncomfortable kennel. I've been doing this for years, and recently Rover.com has put me in touch with even more Baltimore dog owners that want loving and trustworthy care for their furry family members while away. About my yard Chain link fence, standard height (somewhere between 3 1/2 and 4 feet) Grass yard that I keep clean. Yard is secure and I'm always outside with the dogs, so everyone should be contained and safe, but if your dog is a jumper or a real houdini then someone with a six-foot fence is probably better. My experience administering medication Because of the work that I do, I have ample experience in medicating pets. I am certified in pet CPR, I can administer insulin as well as monitor diabetic animals.
Reviews
Emily was amazing, taking care of our miniature poodle, providing us with regular updates and pics as well as being flexible with our drop in and pick up time. So far our best experience in Rover!!
Have to admit that I was nervous about leaving my dog but that was because it was the first time leaving her with someone else. Turns out I had nothing to worry about. Emily was great with my senior girl. Bella was loved and well cared for while we were away. I also really appreciated the texts we received about her stay.
Emily was able to care for our older pups with special needs without any issues! She was fantastic with the cuddles, medication administration, and attentive to their every need! We received text message updates every day, at a minimum. Also, Emily was great with clarifying our puppies treatment needs, which was appreciated given this was their first visit. Overall, we were very pleased with their care and felt that they were in great hands! Will definitely book again. Thank you, Emily!
Emily was great with our basenji. He can be a handful, but Emily has a patient and understanding way with dogs. We will definitely have her sit our pet in the future.

Information Emily B. would like to know about your pet
Dogs need to be potty trained, up to date on vaccines, and free of fleas. I don't accept females in heat and prefer to take only neutered males, although that can be flexible depending on the case.
A typical day
I am up early and work from home, so I find it fairly easy to fit another's schedule in with my own. I have been caring professionally for dogs, cats, horses, and more for about 25 years, so I love to incorporate their needs into all aspects of my day.

Emily can host
Availability
I am currently working only part time and often from home, so I am available virtually all the time to provide not only love and companionship, but the best possible cate for your pet.
