Pet care experience
I have a special connection with animals and feel that they deserve all of the love and attention we can give them. Life gets busy sometimes or you want to have a night out or vacay and stressing about your pet makes it less enjoyable. I want to help relieve that stress so both owners and pets are comfortable and relaxed while apart. I am experienced with elderly animals that need internal and external medications + maneuvering assistance. I am experienced with puppies and kitties. I stay overnight and do my best to keep the animals on routine as per the owners instructions.

Emily was great and made sure our dog was safe and comfortable. We had a last minute cancelation and need a sitter on short notice, and Emily stepped up. Our meet and greet consisted of a thorough questionnaire from Emily so that she would have everything covered when she sat for us. She sent us a couple updates on how the night was going and left detailed notes for us when we got home. With Emily, we were assured that our dog was in good hands and got to enjoy our night without worrying about how she was doing. Thank you Emily for the awesome job!
Emily responded quickly and did a professional home visit. Emily has great attention to detail and great energy with the pets. We had to cancel our trip last minute - Emily was very understanding. We will definitely reach out to her for the next vacation.
Emily was great! She’s very thoughtful and pays attention to all of the little details… We were very impressed when we met her she even brought a LabelMaker! I would highly recommend her and we will definitely be hiring her back in the future! The dogs really seem to love her. We have a senior dog that needed daily medicine and she was on top of it.

I have 2 dogs myself so I know how to walk more than one at a time in leash. I prefer waistbelt leashes for extra security. I like using harnesses so there is less chance of it coming off and is easier to grab in an emergency. I feel that treats are important and having water available at all times is a must.

Vaccination status. Spayed/neutered status. How long they are left alone each day. Any triggers they may have (ex wearing a hat, touching their ears, doorbell, rain, car honks) If they need medication. Level of training and what phrases they are used to.
A typical day
When I am watching or visiting pets, I like to take few minutes to get on their level and say hi with pets and head scratches. Next, they get a treat. Then we head out on a walk. I love roaming around the neighborhood and if we come across a park, I'll do a little jogging in the grass with them. I wouldn't go off leash but I try to extend the leash length so they feel free. Then we may take a minute to sit and enjoy being outside. Once home, I usually don't dwell so that the dog grows accustom to me being their walker and next time we both have the same expectations.
