Pet care experience
I am a medical student, I have two degrees in animal health from the Ohio State University. I have many years of experience in animal care of all types of animals from dogs and cats to exotics to livestock. I have special training in emergency situations from Red Star Veterinary Clinic, I have worked in many veterinary hospitals across Florida and Arizona. My family raises and competes with our scent hounds so I am capable of continuing puppy training or trouble children. I do require 24 hours in advance notice to your booking. I am currently a full time veterinary student, however most of my classes are online from home aside from a few labs early in the morning that only take about an hour or so to complete. So I am very available and open to others schedules. I have a fenced yard in a very nice neighborhood. Across from my house is a pond, and my neighborhood has many walking paths. I do have one sheepdog, but she is a sweet heart and is a nanny dog who has handled everything from chicks to kittens. My house is full access to critters, so they are allowed on furniture, I also have dog beds around the house with many baskets of dog toys. Dogs will be walked at least once daily, and can be let out every hour or every other hour depending on the clients preference.

Emily was great! She sent lots of photos of our dog and took him on several fun outings. We hope she is available when we travel again!
Nellie had an awesome time during her stay with Emily ! I felt confident that Nellie was taken care of and received pictures and updates while I was away !! Thank you Emily! Nellie looks forward to when she can come see you again !!❤️❤️
Emily took great care of my pup on his brief visit and provided him with all of the cuddles he wanted. Happy visit.
Emily was very trustworthy and communicative throughout the time she had our dog, Sven! We will definitely be booking in the future!

I have a fenced yard that was designed with my dog in mind. There’s a lard dig area, lots of run around space, a multiple tiered patio so they can jump and play, in the hotter weather we set up a splash pad/dog pool, in the colder weather we set up a covered area to shield from snow if the dogs don’t like touching snow while they use the potty. My house is always dog friendly, we have lots of treats that we use daily like stuffed bones, lick mats, frozen stuffed kongs, and homemade biscuit treats. Dogs are allowed everywhere in the house and on all the furniture, however if you do not want them on furniture, we’d be happy to continue their regular routines. We have baskets upon baskets of dog toys ranging from little stuffies, tough chewer toys, puzzle toys, squeaky toys, and others. Every time we need to leave the house, our Alexa is playing music or the tv is on. We live in a very quiet neighborhood that is super dog friendly with alot of walking paths and even a few dog restroom areas. We normally go on at the very least one walk a day, and depending on your pups needs the walk will last anywhere from 0.5-4.5 miles. Obviously we are flexible and will come up with enrichment for any type of dog, and we like to make our routines fit your routines so your baby feels more comfortable and at home.

Information Emily B. would like to know about your pet
Any medications and administering procedures are needed. If your special friend has any health concerns, please alert me immediately. If your pet has any behavioral issues, please also state these, it’s not a deterrence, but I like them to be as comfortable as possible and stress free.
A typical day
On hot days I offer a splash pad, puppy paws ice cream, and other cool off activities. I have a fenced yard and an iFetch machine, there are lots of different types of toys in my household, from super chewer puppy toys, to ropes and tennis balls, and lots of stuffy toys or puzzle feeding treats. There is an automatic waterer fountain in my house for pets. My neighborhood features sidewalks and walking paths around ponds and little dog parks. I absolutely love baking new treats and using Pinterest to make new stuff for the pups to do. For example, I made doggy gingerbread men for them during the holidays, in the summer I freeze chunks of meat in “dog ice cream” to give them a chilling, I’ve made puzzle mats for them to dig little treats out of, I freeze kongs with peanut butter, I’m always finding new things to give the pups something new to do. If you get to go on vacation, the babes should too!

My weekly routine is very flexible, my classes do not take up much time, and I do have a fiancé who can stay at home with the pups should I need to spend time away from home for a couple of hours. I have a dog myself, so obviously I spend a lot of time caring and spoiling my pup with everything from homemade treats, puzzle toys, dig boxes in the yard, and much more.
