I have 3 years of experience volunteering at an animal shelter, where I handled dogs of all breeds, sizes, temperaments and personalities. I have experience with timid or fearful dogs, and I am confident and comfortable interacting with them. I currently have a 4 year old 72 pound Husky mix, and we have a lot of fun walking, playing, and training together. I will pay special attention to your dog's specific needs during our meet and greet and will take notes if needed, so you can be sure that your dog will get the exact care that you request! A meet and greet is not absolutely required before our first visit, but from experience I can assure you that you, me, and your dog will all feel more comfortable if we do.

Please be sure to tell me if your dog is reactive in any way to other animals, people, places, or objects that we may encounter during walks. I also bring freeze dried liver treats with me, so if you prefer I do not feed these to your dog please let me know.
A typical day
The time I spend with your dog is 100% for them. I will go at your dog's pace on walks, assuming the leash is loose and relaxed, so you can be sure that your dog will be satisfied afterwards! Whether that means a slow stroll and smelling every blade of grass or a several kilometer jog, the 30-60 minutes dedicated to your dog will be exactly what your dog wants and needs in that moment!

Availability
Generally, I am available on evenings and weekends. I am a full time graduate student and commute to downtown Montreal during the week. However, my work hours are somewhat flexible, so with enough notice (at least one week) I can make an occasional exception and take care of your dog during the day on a week day.
