Welcome! I am Em! I am the proud owner of two high energy herding dogs(we are BIG on enrichment!), a rabbit, and a horse. With a huge passion for animals from a very young age, I have over a decade of experience in veterinary medicine and more than 15 years of pet sitting. I am insured and bonded through Pet Sitter Associates, a member of Pet Sitter International, and hold certifications in Pet CPR and First Aid as well as Fear Free, with more certifications in progress! (Currently working on Canine Enrichment Technician certification 3/1/24) I have high standards and am compassionate in caring for everyone’s babies as if they were my very own from dogs and cats, to pocket pets, reptiles, birds, and farm animals!

Best sitter ever! Right away after meeting Emily I knew my dog was in good hands. She is very knowledgeable and has plenty of experience. My dog can be apprehensive of new people, but she warmed right up to Emily! She gave me daily update messages with photos and was very flexible and accommodating. I came home to a very happy dog. 0 complaints!

Leaving town always presented a heartbreaking dilemma for me...what to do with my beloved pets. That is no longer a concern since I found Emily B! She lovingly and responsibly cared for my home, two large dogs, Maine Coon and two parakeets, while I went on vacation. It was so great to be able to relax, knowing they were in their own environment and being cared for by Emily. She lived in my home, kept it clean, safe and secure. She gave extra attention to my 13-year-old dog with cancer, distributed their meds and spoiled all of them rotten. Prior to my arrival home, she had even washed all of the bedding, so after a long day of travel, I didn't have to. The animals were extremely happy, healthy and clearly loved in my absence. I found Emily to be extremely honest, friendly, trustworthy, qualified and a true animal lover. I won't hesitate to contact her again. Emily has watched our dog, Koda, multiple times. Each time she came to our house and he received top notch care! I highly recommend hiring Emily to take care of your fur babies. She will care for them as her own. We never had any nerves leaving Koda when we went out of town because having him watched by Emily gave us a lot of comfort. She’s the best!!

Due to the fact your pet is accustom to routines done daily in their own home, I am a stranger coming into their safe haven. I schedule a meet & greet at no charge to go over your pet's specific routine/needs prior to pet sitting.

Information Emily B. would like to know about your pet
I request that all pets to be current on core vaccinations (Rabies, DA2PP, & Bordetella) unless she or medical illness prevents it. At minimum, I require proof of current rabies vaccination. Please let me know if your pet has any special needs such as health issues that require medication or a special diet. I also like to know how your dog reacts to strangers or other dogs if we were to go out for a walk.
A typical day
I love to stimulate your pet both mentally & physically. If you have a high energy dog that is always "Go, Go, Go," I provide "hiking trips" to local areas like Potato Creek, the East Race, or the Mishawaka river walk. If you have a pet that fully vaccinate & gets along well with other dogs, I provide dog park visits (with or without my dogs-Approval needed from owner first) to burn off that energy.

I cover the south side of Mishawaka, south side of South Bend, some Osceola, & some Granger. I am available to overnight pet sitting in your home any time during the week or weekends with plenty of notice.
