Pet care experience
My best friends growing up were Scooby and Scrappy, a Yorkie and a Cairn Terrier, who loved popcorn and playing soccer. Today, I am a proud dog mom to Atticus, a rescue black lab mix with a lot of puppy energy and love to give. For the past twenty years, I have loved taking care of my dogs and all types of dogs for friends and family, whether it be daily walks, housesitting, or administering medication. I have experience with both small and large dogs -- from Miniature Schnauzers to Pitbulls and Rottweilers. In my spare time, I also volunteer at a local animal rescue organization and foster pups looking for loving homes in the DMV area. I look forward to hopefully meeting and taking care of your pup(s)!

If you are interested in having me take care of your dog, please feel free to send me a message. I will schedule a prospective client meet and greet to go over household rules and your pet's specific needs. If you choose me to care for your pup, I will treat them as I do my own dog. We will go on fun walks with lots of smells, play with their favorite toys, and even practice obedience tricks if that is something you’re interested in! Of course, they will also get lots of personal attention and belly rubs as well.

Please let me know if there are any behaviors, preferences, or illnesses/injuries that I should account for. I also like to know if your pup is good with other dogs, or if I should try to walk along routes that are less frequented.
A typical day
I love to get to know each dog individually, and will try to tailor my visits around what they specifically like. I typically would take your dog on a walk to the spots they seem most excited - giving them plenty of time to sniff around. I would also spend some time giving them personal attention, whether that is playing with them with some of their toys, helping them with their obedience tricks, or giving them some belly rubs.

Availability
I will be available during the weekends, holidays, and occasionally weekday evenings for drop-in visits and walks. I am unable to house sit or provide doggy daycare at this time.
