I love animals, and especially dogs! I grew up with 2 Shar Peis and a mix of foster cats, and really missed being around animals once I moved to CA. I started out volunteering and fostering through local rescues, and eventually began caring for pets through Rover 4 years ago. I am comfortable with animals of all sizes, ages, and temperaments--from elderly pets, to rescues, lapdogs, huskies, pitbulls, cats, and everything in between. I consider myself a patient person, both with people and animals, and focus on providing the affection and care that your pet needs to feel happy, secure and comfortable in your absence.

Emily stayed at our house for a week with our kitty Henson while we were out of town. While we were gone she kept us updated with regular pictures/updates, kept our plants watered and gave Henson tons of love. When we got back, the house was better than we left it, and Henson obviously got lots of play, attention, and snuggles. We’ll definitely will be calling Emily again and would highly recommend her. Thanks for taking such great good care of our fur baby Emily!
Emily did a great job with our two dogs!
Emily was very sweet taking care of my Gizmo. For some reason he was anxious about her bedroom so she slept on the couch to keep him company and comfortable!
Bella loves her walks with Emily! Great option for getting her out for a midday stroll. Emily is always available and very response!

I offer both dog boarding and house sitting. House-sitting: I try to mirror your pet’s daily routine as closely as possible to minimize any anxiety. I am neat, responsible, a non-smoker, and non-partier. Dog Boarding Basics: -I live in an apartment complex in Capitol Hill, Seattle (Luma Condominiums). As mentioned above, I work from home and will be available during the day to hang out and provide exercise and potty breaks as necessary. - I usually (almost always) only board one dog at a time. -I don't use crates personally, so please bring a crate if your pup is used to sleeping in one overnight or when left alone in the house. -I provide two 20-30 minute walks (let me know if your pup needs additional activity), and daily picture and text updates. Please don’t hesitate to ask or request anything! I am happy to follow any additional instructions and am very communicative with clients. I always do my best to give your pets the extra attention and love they deserve while you're away.

A typical day
I love to hang out with dogs (and cats)! Generally I try to mirror your pet’s daily routine as closely as possible to minimize anxiety, but for especially active pets I’m happy to take them on my runs or visit the nearby dog park (with your permission). On the weekends I often go hiking, and love to take pups along.

I have a lot of flexibility to accommodate your pet's usual routine; I work remotely as a copywriter, so I'm able to keep your pup company full-time with plenty of snuggles, playtime, breaks, and companionship. My schedule is very laid-back and I'm happy to accommodate any requests.
