Emily and Todd were FANTASTIC! I have never felt more relaxed leaving my fur babies. I was sent daily updates and pictures of walks, cuddles, TV time and even some reading time with the cats. The house was clean and ready for our return. Our cats and dogs are looking forward to seeing Emily and Todd soon!

!! UPDATED REVIEW AFTER REVIEWING SECURITY FOOTAGE !!. Do not be fooled by the reviews. The 5-starred reviews were 100% people without a security systems. We hired Emily and Todd to house sit our 5-month old puppy for a weekend, as a trial for a full week stay while we were abroad. The weekend seemed to go well, she sent photos, she was great at communicating, in photos Lucy looked very happy. However, when we looked at the security footage (ADT and Google), it was seen Lucy was not being given bathroom breaks for up to 12hrs at a time through the night. Again, this is not us making assumptions, this is proven through a paid security system (timestamped and video footage). Lucy, our puppy that we considered about 90% potty trained, was seen peeing and pooping in her cage the entire weekend. We thought it was because we gave her too much space before we left (we had moved her from a crate to an empty bedroom set up as a pin). No, it was due to being so discomforted she needed to go in her cage). Later we started to see discrepancies in her photos being sent. We would receive a photo, then see on the camera Lucy was in her cage. While Emily and Todd were caring for our puppy, they spent a total of the below minutes on walks/bathroom breaks: Thursday 5 minutes, Friday 30 minutes, Saturday 21 minutes, Sunday 52 minutes. For another example, on Friday night the last time Lucy was brought to use the bathroom was 7:40pm, she was not seen again giving Lucy a bathroom break until 8:40am Saturday morning. They also did not tell us about any of these accidents. Emily and Todd have not attempted to deny this at all. No dog, or puppy should go through that. After our weekend with Emily, and before seeing the security footage - we didn't think to check because the photos and communication seemed so good and the system was just installed so we forgot we had that access, so we agreed happily to book them for another week. We told her multiple times we wanted to book through Rover as we were more protected, we had just moved to the area and didn't know anyone so if something had gone wrong we wouldn't have support. We had two days to make the call on booking with her or boarding. When we decided to go with her she then told us we could officially no longer pay through rover due to her having a conflicting time scheduled through rover, so it would show her as unavailable. At that point, we did pay her via check. The week she had Lucy, not paid by Rover was very similar to the weekend we were gone, but actually worse. However, that was not booked through River, so I will keep that part of the story off this record. Do not let them tell you this review is a lie, as they told us about the other negative previous review. The most disappointing thing, this isn't about money. We would gladly pay (as I am sure you would) anything for good care for our puppy. Nothing at this point will change the experience Lucy had in their care - and that is truly heartbreaking. Do not let your furbaby go through this.
