Hi, I’m Emily! A little about me - I’ve lived in Seattle for 6 years now, originally from SoCal, and I live with my partner Leo and our 2 cats, Max and Khalil. We love dog-sitting and the cats don’t mind 🙃 I can take your dog on walks, spend time at the park, and, with your permission, I have a car and can take us out on hikes. I have experience administering medicine should your pup have any special requirements, and I also have experience as a dog washer. Let me know what your dog needs! I grew up with one very active dog and one more mild-mannered, as well as many other pets such as cats, birds and reptiles. I also have experiences watering gardens and patios and indoor plants. Should you need additional pet services, or plant care at the same time, I would be glad to help :)

To say we lucked out with Emily is an understatement! Not only was this our first time using Rover, but my partner and I were going to be in a completely different time zone for nearly a week, so the anxiety about leaving our dog, Dotty was high. However, from day 1, Emily completely eased all our worries. She sent us daily updates and lots of pictures which allowed us to really enjoy our vacation. She was attentive to the little details of how to best care for Dotty and asked questions which made us feel like she really cared. Everything from the meet & greet to pickup after our vacation was seamless. We would recommend Emily to other fur parents in a heartbeat.
Emily took care of our dog multiple times and did a fantastic job. She walked him a lot and sent us lots of photos. She is very responsible and caring and has lots of experience with dogs. I trust her completely to take care of our pup! I highly recommend Emily!
Emily was so great with Grady! He's a senior dog, and loves people, but always gets extra excited and wiggly when he sees Emily :) Emily seemed to really understand his age and his needs - like letting him take a long sniffing walk, rather than a fast, exercise walk! It makes me feel so relieved to know he's being watched with such care.
Emily is INCREDIBLE with pets. She watched my cat for 3 months while I traveled and I knew he was in amazing hands. She is so gentle and kind and trustworthy. She grew up with basically every kind of pet which makes her the perfect person to watch whatever kind of animal you may have. Emily is also very clean and does a great job making sure your pets are cleaned up after and perfectly cared for. Emily is the perfect person to leave your fur babies with and know that they will be very well cared for and loved!

If making house visits, I will always leave your home as clean as I’ve found it and make sure your pets feel safe and taken care of. If boarding your pet at my home, I will provide a space for bedding/crating/food/supplies as needed, and your pet will be welcomed as one of our own.

I would like to know of any personality sensitivities such as separation anxiety, comfortability with cats/other dogs/small children/strangers, as well as any special needs such as dietary restrictions, bathroom issues, grooming, etc. I am open to all breeds :)
A typical day
I live in Capitol Hill near Central District, in the lovely residential neighborhood of Miller Park. We go for long walks in the neighborhood up to Volunteer Park, and we’ll take the car to go on hikes just outside Seattle sometimes too. If your pup has favorite dog park, I’d be happy to keep up their routines. Depending on your pets personality/comfort, Seattle is very dog-friendly so I would be happy to take them with me to run errands and see friends.
