Here for you, & them 🐾

Pet care experience

** Aloha! Our family is PCSing in July. I want to thank everyone for supporting me throughout the past months. Sending big hugs. We will miss you all! A hui hou kakou; until we meet again. Take care! -Emily, Zack & Mags. ** A little about myself: I grew up with dogs, cats, horses, cows, and chickens. I have a three-year-old golden retriever named Maggie Jo, she's my bestfriend. I've volunteered at local animal shelters and have First Aid and CPR certification for cats and dogs from the American Red Cross. I've worked in nursing for almost 6 years, with experience in SNF/Hospice, L&D, and ER. I'm currently pursuing a degree in Public Health with a focus on Emergency Management and Infection Control. Because of my background, I emphasize safety and sanitation when caring for your pet. I do have base access for military families. I have a fenced-in backyard and one furbaby who will keep yours company. I live in a quiet, safe community outside of base. I have central air conditioning and safe drinking water. My house is kept clean. THINGS TO KNOW WHEN BOOKING: - Please have your dog’s Rover bio up to date. - I’ll send daily pictures (and occasionally videos) of your dog playing, napping, and having the best time. - I only host 2 dogs at a time, so it’s important your furbaby gets along with other dogs. - If your dog is coughing or has diarrhea or is otherwise sick, please do not bring them over. My husband and I work hard to keep our home and yard sanitary for the safety of all dogs who stay with us. - All dogs need to have a collar with an I.D. tag.
 - When coming over for a boarding, you should bring enough food/meds for their stay. For food/meds please do one of two things: You may bring their regular bag/container of food but please make sure it has a label with their name, and clear instructions on how much food/meds to give them. (Ex. “Rex: 1.5 cups twice a day, 1 medication tablet with breakfast”) OR Food/meds may be in a disposable bag with pre-measured portions in disposable sandwich bags (labeled as breakfast, lunch, or dinner). Exception if your dog eats wet food. If your pup runs out of food, we always have an extra bag on hand and charge $2 a meal to reimburse for what we use.

Emily did an amazing job taking care of our Golden. She provided daily updates to us and went above and beyond helping us during our PCS move back to the mainland.

Emily always does an amazing job with Bailey. We can count on pictures and daily updates of her walks, food/water intake, as well as behavior. We know that Bailey's in great hands because she's cared for like one of the family. Thank you sooo much!

SAFETY: I take various precautions to keep everyone safe when your dog stays with us. - All dogs are fed separately in different areas of the home. - Dogs are never left together unattended. All dogs are crated and separated if I need to run a quick errand. - Dogs sleep in separate crates. We use large and x-large sized crates so your pup will have plenty of room to sprawl out or you can bring your own. We do not accept dogs that howl or cry in their crates as we need sleep too. 💤 ***All male dogs must be fixed*** When booking with me, my goal is to make your furbaby as comfortable and safe as possible. 🐾

Information Emily A. would like to know about your pet

Please, let me know if your dog or cat has any special needs. I’d also like to know your expectations/concerns and their routine ahead of time. • Does your dog have any exercise or other physical limitations? • Are they up to date on vaccinations? • Do they have any current injuries I should be aware of (limping, cuts, tumors, infections)? • Any former injuries we should be cautious of? • What’s your pet’s daily routine?

A typical day

I have a nice walking path outside and a fenced-in yard where the dogs may run around safely. I provide toys that the dogs can play with. I also have plenty of dog beds and a comfy couch for dogs to lounge and nap on. **Due to the high temperatures, I only walk dogs in the early morning and late evening.**
