My name is Emily and absolutely love all things dogs! I am currently a teacher and am doing this for a little extra income on the side. I live at home with my family and our dogs. I have worked at a doggy day care and boarding facility for many years (part and full-time) in Marion, IA, and have been around dogs my whole life. For the past 10 years or so we have been a foster family to MANY adorable puppies, so I have experience with potty training and taking care of the little ones! I can provide fun, stimulating drop-in visits, a nice 30 minute walk, or an overnight stay with your pet while you are out of town. I can also provide basic services like feedings and medications. If you are more of a cat person, I will be more than happy to clean a litter box or two, as well as feed and play with them as needed. I look forward to hearing from you!

This is my first time using Rover and Emily was simply amazing! So accommodating and really took great care of my cat, plants, and home. She even assisted me when I forgot my glasses on my trip and shipped them out to me! Emily is very sweet, professional, and truly cares about animals as if they were her own babies. I will definitely be calling in her again in the future!
We continue to use Emily to take care of our 2 Spanish water dogs and our home. She communicates well, kept our plants alive and well and the dogs absolutely love her!! Definitely recommend her for dog care and house sitting.

A typical day
On drop-in visits or longer stays, I will provide potty breaks, and lots of play time! If you have a playful dog, I will gladly play tug-of-war, fetch, and run around the yard to your dogs content. I can also provide brushing. For walks, I will generally walk the surrounding neighborhoods to keep your dog in a familiar area.
