An CA native and dog lover! I volunteer at the SPCA. I have experience gaining the trust of nervous or anxious dogs and cats, as well as working with energetic dogs in training. I regularly walk and care for elderly dogs.

Our text to Emily upon arrival back home from a weeklong trip says it all: “We came home to a spotless home, happy dogs and your sweet note. You’re the best Emily! We would love to have you stay with the “kids” again if you end up living in RVA for a while after graduation. Enjoy the remainder of your semester at U of R!!”
Emily was amazing! She agreed to dog sit my two fur babies last minute, and by last minute I mean less then 24 hours before the visit began. She sent pictures and updated me on the status of my dogs throughout their time with her. It was reassuring that she took the time to talk over the phone about any specifics prior to the stay, which further shows her professionalism. She treated my babies as if they were her own and for that my partner and I are extremely grateful. 10/10 recommend Emily for any fur baby’s needs!
Emily was great. She did very well with our three senior dogs with health problems. She administered medication with no problems and stayed in touch with texts and photos so we were sure everyone was doing just fine while we were away. I would recommend Emily and hope to hire her again in the future.

I would like to know the dog's big habits, preferences, and normal schedule. I like to be aware if they are very social with other humans or dogs if they prefer to walk on trails or sidewalks if they will only eat if someone is present with them, etc. I also like to adapt the timing of walks, as some dogs are used to a big morning walk and I like to maintain their schedule!
A typical day
I live an active lifestyle and love being outside. I often walk around the Back Bay, and have found the trails and big open grass areas to be ideal for exploring and running around! Happy to go to dog parks if your dog thrives in a park environment, or if they are reactive, wide trails will be ideal! I want to keep your furry friend in their schedule as much as possible!

Availability
I work 9 - 5 with an hour long lunch break daily where I normally leave for a walk. Before or after work I am available. I work in a dog friendly office and if I am sitting it is absolutely an option for your furry friend to join me at work! Weekends I am available and flexible.
