Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Emilie and I have been caring for animals my entire life. I received my first dog (a lab) as a birthday gift at 5 years old and loved every minute of it. Since then, our family has gotten two more dogs (one being another lab, the second a small Lhasa Maltese) and two bunnies. I love animals so much I started working at a veterinary clinic. Here I dealt with a large variety of animals, from ferrets to birds, including dogs and cats of all sizes, breeds, needs, and temperaments. I am PetTech (PetSaver) certified and trained in CPR, First aid, and care and can provide the certification upon request. I have an extensive background in administering many different medications (as well as oral vaccines). I also have trained several dogs in the past. Many around me know of my passion for animals, thus being how I became known as the neighborhood animal sitter, sitting nearly a half dozen neighborhood pets alone. I have cared for and pet-sat neighborhood animals including dogs, cats, Guinea pigs, and fish for a number of years. I feel like I have a deep connection and understanding with every animal I meet, and I love to make both my and their day spending time together! That is why I am on this app, to spend more time doing what I love- taking care of and playing with your fur baby! I work as a markering coordinator in Appleton in a hybrid position, so I welcome drop-in visits requests! Although I like my job, I find working with animals to be more rewarding and fulfilling to me. So, I am working on turning my passion into my full time gig by set up reoccurring daily and/or weekly pet care! I would love to get to know several animals very well and provide them the topmost quality care on a consistent basis. However, I am also open to short term care situations. For any other requests or questions, Please let me know! If you would like pet care for a time that I am not available on my calendar, please contact me to see what we can do! As of now, I do not offer pet care at my house. However, I would be more than willing to come to you to keep your animal relaxed and comfortable in their own home. When at your home, your animal will receive the most exceptional care and treatment possible. I treat everyone's animal as if they are my own. I also treat your home with respect, ensuring I strictly follow your directions as well as clean up after both myself and your fur baby. If you allow, I would love to spoil your pet with their favorite treats, activities, and mental stimulation/engagement. I enjoy providing picture updates for my clients.

Emilie is super knowledgeable as a dog trainer and caregiver. She has experience working as a professional dog trainer, and has tons of passion for the welfare and safety of dogs. Emilie was able to manage both my Heeler mix, who has tons of energy, as well as my senior Terrier. She made sure that my Heeler had is "zoomies" out, and ensured that my Terrier was transported safely up and down the stairs when she needed to use the bathroom. She made sure both dogs were adequately fed and provided with water before departing for the day. I trust Emilie with any of my dogs! She is phenomenal.

I know how important each individal animal's wellbeing is and how quickly that could change. I feel confident that I am always hyper-aware of animals' saftey and keep the closest eye on them and their health, as I know what to watch for.

A typical day
When pet sitting, along with spoiling your baby with treats and cuddles, I also love to provide both physical and mental exercise. I enjoy providing any variety of forms of physical exercise that your pet is interested in (i.e. frisbee, tug of war, fetch, hide and seek, hiking, jogging, walking, stairs, and agility- all of which I have done with my and others' dogs). As far as mental stimulating and exercise goes, I love to challenge animals to see how smart they can be. Together, we can do enriching activities such as learning a new trick, nose work games, puzzles, and more! Any other activities can be happily provided upon request.

Availability
Working in Appleton, it is very common for me to do drop-in visits during my lunch hour (which I can take at any time). I also am available anytime after work, starting at 4:40pm. I stay pretty local on weekends and am flexible! I accommodate well to the pets in my care and their owners😊 In hopes of doing this full time, I would love to fill my week completely with pet sitting Monday-Friday:)
