Pet care experience
I have grown up with both cats and dogs. I currently have a two cats in my hometown. I have also volunteered with an organization that trains service dogs. I am trusted by friends and family to pet sit while they're away from home. I have experience working with 9 week old puppies and 18 year old seniors of all sizes to include giving oral medications, grooming, and walks.

We hired Emilie to pet sit our 3 dogs when my wife and I are out of town. Our dogs love Emilie and she often takes them for walks around the neighborhood. We trust Emilie with our dogs and are planning to hire her to pet sit again while we are in Italy for vacation.
There are very few people we trust to watch our fur baby! Emilie is one of the 3 people we allow to take care of him! He is a 120 pound black lab and very spoiled! He loves walks but tired easily and quickly overheats, Emilie is always very conscientious of his walking limit! He is very difficult to walk; pulling, easily distracted, Emilie is very patient with him. She runs with him when he wants to run and walks with him when he gets tired!

When I visit a client's home my primary concern is the animal(s) safety and well-being. I currently have one cat that loves to explore the outdoors any chance he gets so I know how to safely enter and exit homes without anyone making an escape. While I am in your home, I will ensure your pets have fresh and clean water accessible and they are secured (in a kennel, room, or free range) while you're away. Safety around unknown animals is incredibly important to me, especially as I learn about your pet(s). I do not engage with other dogs on walks and will cross streets or step into grass to pass. I've had a dog with aggressive tendencies, please let me know what they react to before I arrive so I can mitigate these risks (birds, squirrels, other dogs, people, etc.)

How does your dog typically react to new people/other dogs/wildlife? Do they have any injuries or medical issues? Is your dog leash trained? Does your dog prefer to walk or run? Do they enjoy snuggles? What is their favorite toy/game to play? Can they have treats? Are they allowed on the furniture?
A typical day
I will keep your dog stimulated on walks depending on their needs. Some dogs get their energy out by sniffing and others like to go running. If your dog likes to explore new environments I can take them to the Arboretum or Legacy Trail.
