I'll treat you dog like my own

Pet care experience

I am a freshman college student at Texas Tech and studying to become a veterinarian. Since I live in a dorm I am not able to have a pet, that is why I joined Rover to be more involved with pets. I miss my three babies and need to be surrounded by animals. I love animals of all kinds and want to work with them more. I have background history with walking and pet sitting family and neighbor's pets. I love playing and training animals and give them my full attention when I am with them. Since I am a college student I am not able to work in the morning due to classes. But I can be flexible. If you have questions please feel free to message me! I am always available to talk.

My dog means everything to me, and Emilie is the only person I would ever trust leaving him with. I’ve known her for 15 years and cannot think of a single negative memory. This girl has a passion for animals like no other.

From the beginning of our friendship, Emilie made it clear that she adores animals and is a fantastic, passionate caretaker with her own pets and others'. Not only does she love animals, she also has experience and drive in the veterinary field, hoping to go above and beyond with her ardor in the future. You will not be disappointed!

Emilie is a very experienced dog sitter, I know that personally. Emilie has dog sat for my four dogs and foster dogs many times and always would stay over for a little to love on them and took very good care of them. Even with one of my dogs who didn't eat around new people and was very skiddish and scared, she was able to get her to eat. She always made regular house visits throughout the day and made sure the dogs and house was doing okay. VERY RESPONSIBLE!!!

Emilie was my pet sitter for my 2 dogs, cat, gold fish and gecko. She would stay at our home and watch all of our pets, making sure that they were loved on and cared for. The litter box was clean when we got home and our animals were all very happy. Whenever she comes over they all get excited. I call her the animal whisperer. she is super sweet and you can tell she has a passion for animals. yoi will be lucky as will your pets, to have Emilie as your pet sitter and walker.

Information Emilie L. would like to know about your pet

I don't have a preference of a breed, but I love happy energetic dogs. I would like to know in advance, what type of dog it is so I can be prepared for a giant dog greeting me at the door. I would also love to know the dog's personality. I have to know how to handle a dog whether it be a hyper dog or a skittish dog. I also need to know if they are friendly/safe around kids and dogs. I don't want a kid or dog to be knocked over or injured. I also don't want your dog to feel like it isn't safe. I was your friend to feel comfortable at all times! Lastly I would like to know how long your dog can walk. I don't want to tucker an older, smaller dog out half way through the walk. My dog back at home can't even walk a block without laying in the middle of the road so I can carry him back to the house. I also want to walk your dog as much as it needs. If its an energetic dog I want to be able to get its energy out so it won't be too hyper for you when you see it next. I don't wan it to return home wanting more. It defeats the purpose of my job.

A typical day

I am new to Lubbock so I don't know the city very well but I love going exploring and visiting parks. We can play a lot of fetch and socialize with other dogs. If your dog loves socializing, I could walk you dog around campus. There are plenty of college students who miss their dogs back at home and would love to be licked to death by your dog(s). A lot of people walk their dog around campus, so your dog(s) will make a few dog friends as well. I f your dog is small and can't walk a long distance or they don't like to socialize, a walk around the block a couple of times will be perfect for them.
