Pet care experience
For the past few years I have been trusted to look after the pets of my family and friends and after finding Rover and moving away from home I would like to offer those services to those in need! The only animal I own is far too big to fit in my house and prefers a paddock with plenty of grass, which is why I enjoy spending some time with smaller furrier friends who enjoy a cuddle on the sofa! As a horse owner I am very dedicated to animal welfare and understand that all animals need their exercise come rain or shine!

As my dog-sitting has mostly required me to stay at people's houses, I ensure that I make no other arrangements and like to give my full time to the pet I am caring for, I do not like to leave them alone when I am being trusted to look after them. I prefer to visit owners homes so that their pet feels safe in their own environment.

One thing that I think is extremely important is that owners disclose their pets vet in case of emergencies and are available if I should need to contact them over the phone. This is a very rare scenario but you can never be too careful. I would like to know if there is anything your pet doesn't like such as having their paws wiped/cleaned or if they have any quirks that I should be made aware of.
A typical day
I love to ensure that your pet is having as much fun as possible during their time with me, I like to give them my full attention by playing games with them such as fetch or tug of war. A personal favourite of mine is playing chase or hide and seek. I have found this is a favourite of the dogs that I have previously looked after. I also do like to be able to let dogs off leads on walks so they can run free but if they aren't able to be off lead I enjoy a brisk jog so they can enjoy that feeling of a free run.

Availability
I am full-time employed, however due to hybrid working this allows me to work from home 3 days a week. There are many hours in a day and as I am an early riser I could use my time for good and also get my exercise in by helping people out and walking their dogs. This also gives me an hour on my lunch break if anyone requires short house visits.
