Experienced dog lover!
Pet care experience
I've had dogs since I was a kid, and have loved them my whole life. Ask anyone I know and they’ll testify that anytime I see a dog in public, I get embarrassingly excited and have to ask if I can say hi. I’ve grown up with dogs, rescued them and helped friends with training. I’m very comfortable around all breeds and sizes. I have always had an innate understanding for the world of dogs. I've worked at doggy daycare and boarding facilities for over a year, and have cared for friend's and family's dogs. I have extensive experience in dog behavior and dog handling, and am certified in Pet First Aid & CPR. I have experience monitoring all types of dogs (over 50 at a time) at varying energy levels at play, while incorporating positive reinforcement training methods. I have administered medications to dogs and followed strict meal guidelines. I have experience walking dogs of all sizes and demeanors, and know how to redirect unwanted behavior such as pulling and reactivity. You can trust me because I am fluent in dog behavior and body language. I’m not afraid to be firm when I need to be, or get my hands dirty. Dogs communicate through energy and body language, and I have a keen understanding of this. I’m endlessly patient with man’s best friend and will work towards creating a positive relationship with them based on love and trust. Your dog will be receiving loving, professional care tailored just for them. I have never met a dog that frightened me or that I didn't love, and spending time with them brings me joy. I live in an apartment, but my dogs are happy as there is plenty of space to walk them and I take them on long walks and am able to attend to them all day as I work from home! This is a perfect atmosphere for senior dogs or dogs that aren’t extremely high energy, as I am a homebody and work from home. I can’t wait to meet you and your pup!
Reviews
Emilia was amazing! Maggie had so much fun playing with Bean and got so much attention. Emilia sent lots of pictures and videos and my dog looked settled in within minutes there. Maggie was tired when she came home and you could tell she had fun. Emilia will be my first choice next time I am looking for a dog sitter!
Emilia is wonderful! They are extremely friendly to both owners and pets. They are easy to communicate with in terms of scheduling and during stays. Our pup Max enjoyed his visit. Would absolutely book again!
Our Abby stayed with Emilia for a week while we were in California. We got several pics each day so we knew what our pup was up to! She was happy and tired when we picked her up! We would definitely use Emilia again to take good care of your baby girl!
Emilia is an animal lover, the best kind of sitter. She did a great job with our 5 animals, took one of my dogs to the vet, took care of my garden, and everything else. She communicated very well and was a joy to work with. I have nothing but good things to say.

Depending on your dog’s eating behavior, I may put them in a separate room to eat. That’s something you’ll need to tell me! Dogs are allowed on the couch and the bed. They have access to the balcony which is a great spot for sunbathing. There are plenty of big grassy spaces in the apartment complex for potty brakes, and there is a park close by for longer walks. Dogs can be crated if need be. If I ever do leave, it’s no longer than a couple of hours if that.

Information Emilia C. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors, as well as whether or not they are crate trained. I prefer that your dog is crate trained, but not necessary. In the event I need to leave to run an errand, I leave my dogs crated for safety and peace of mind. I will take dogs that are not crate trained on a case by case basis. If you trust that tour dog would be ok being left alone in the apartment for a few hours if needed, then it should be fine.
A typical day
I work from home so I mostly hang out at home with my two dogs, Bean and Cosita. They have lots of toys and places to lounge. I take them on walks around the neighborhood or to private fenced in rental areas to run around.
