Pet care experience
I have worked in doggy daycares and boarding facilities since I was 16. Most recently, I was a kennel manager of a facility in VA for over a year. I have also worked in R+ dog training, studied for service dog training, and I have learned some dog grooming. I am trained in working with anxiety, mild reactivity, and excitability in dogs of all sizes. I am willing to work with your dog at their speed to help them be comfortable with me and make sure that my visits are something they look forward to rather than dread.

Emilee did such an amazing job dropping in on my two pups. She clearly has a lot of experience with pets, and I knew my dogs were in great hands with her. She was also excellent with communication and kept us informed of any concerns, and she was quick to reply to any messages. Her updates were great and were very reassuring that my dogs were safe, healthy, and happy.

Can’t be happier with the care Emilee gave to our dog! She was very good at communicating and keep us in the loop about how are dog was doing ! She has a lot of experience working with all types of dogs , and that helped us feel comfortable and it was easy to know our dog was going to be comfortable with her as well !
Emilee has been the best with our two toy poodles puppies. She has also helped with training and dog helpful hints. I also look forward to her watching out puppies in the next few weeks. I know they will well taken care of.

My top priorities are that your dogs are safe, healthy, and happy. I am happy to work with them to make sure they are eating, I can administer medication of any kind that you need, including diabetic shots, and I am happy to monitor them both indoors and out to make sure they are healthy and behaving normally. I am huge on communication, so I will be happy to send pictures, updates, and anything else you would like anytime I am in your home. I do require all dogs that stay in my home to have a kennel they bring with them. It is my goal to use the kennel as little as possible, but with a young child in the home, as well as another dog, I require the ability to easily and safely separate the pets in my home for short periods of time. In addition, it is unsafe to leave unknown dogs free in my home while I am not there, so I require the ability to kennel them for short bursts of time when I need to leave.

A typical day
My day-to-day with my dogs varies greatly by their needs. Some dogs want to go out for walks and consistent playtime and mental enrichment activities, while others want to hang out on the couch and get some scritches. Whatever your dog’s preference, I’m happy to work with them.

Availability
I am a stay-at-home mom of a newborn, so I have a lot of flexibility to work with your schedule. I am fully able to work around having dogs in my home and scheduling my appointments and errands so that your dogs are fully taken care of. If you are entrusting me with your dog for daycare, I will communicate with you my daily schedule to make sure that you know when I’ll be home with them or if I’ll need to leave at any point.
