Backyard as big as my love for dogs

Pet care experience

I have owned a dog since I was 8 years old, so naturally I know a lot about them, and their care. I trained my own dog using a how-to book and I think I would very much enjoy meeting new dogs and getting to know more of their unique personalities. I love how goofy they are, and just thinking about how much they love us makes me want to cry. Regardless of that, I do not train dogs, I prefer to be more of a sitter and I would envision myself in taking that role; help your dog meet new people too they are social creatures just like us! I think I would make a great sitter because of this and my combined love for dogs; I would not be someone just looking for extra money, I would dedicate myself to every dog because I care for them and genuinely have their best interests at heart. My reasonable prices would be great proof of my dedication. I do not require much. I offer cheaper prices because of my lack of certain licencing, but I plan to save half of what I can make in order to pay for classes in order to obtain licensing and training needing to improve my services. When caring for a dog, I tend to be quite relaxed, let them go about so I'm not hanging over them every minute, keep alarms to remind myself of anything important. In all honesty, I would probably play with the dog most of the time until they get bored of me (that seems hardly possible with most dogs). I tend to not like having messes so I'd clean up appropriately, and respect house rules. I tend to be a quiet and reserved person, so I would not be the type to bring anyone along and if I ever were to do so I would ask for permission beforehand. I'm not the irresponsible kind of person, in fact I'm going back to school and if I were to dogsit I may bring my homework to work on while they nap or if they're an older dog who just needs someone near them and for good pets. With walking, I wouldn't mind taking dogs out to a dog park and excising a bit, myself. I have been trying to find the time to exercise and I see no better way than with a companion who just wants to go out and see the world for a bit. I hope it is not much of an inconvenience, but my schedule will change with each semester and I'll try to be free on the afternoons and evenings everyday of the week! Overnight jobs can only be done at the dog's house any day as long as it's in the Riverside area and I can be be at class by 8am. Thank you for understanding, dog sitting will be a side, service-like job for me and while I am passionate about taking care and meeting new dogs!

Information Emely M. would like to know about your pet

I have no preference at all. I do have favorite breeds such as Shiba Inus and Pitbulls, but for me, any dog is a good dog! What I would like to know about any certain dog before caring for them is basically just anything about them. What do they like to do? Where is their favorite petting spot? Do they like to play a lot or are they calm and prefer to lie around? In 3 words, what's their personality like? Do they require constant supervision or are they more independent? When do they eat? Do they require medication? Just the basic questions so I can provide top notch care for them. Dogs tend to really miss their owners when they are away, so I would love for your dogs to have a great time until their owners can come back to them!

A typical day

I have no problem walking dogs to the nearest park, I am good at navigating and moving around. I will gladly have them socialize with other dogs as long as they are social as well. If I am house sitting, I can gladly provide a schedule of needs and activities for the day/s I am to stay with the dog. I can provide my own treats, and can plan to play games with them such as hide-and-seek, scavenger hunts, even a good game of tug-a-war is something I would gladly do with them. I will provide down time for them as well to give them time to rest. This along with any important times like feeding times and potty breaks should fill up a schedule and I do not mind that.
