James Herriot, author of All Creatures Great and Small writes “If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans.” Since I was a kid I have been able to feel the love, loyalty, and gratitude from animals James Herriot speaks of. It is their magic and appreciation that has tilted me towards work with animals. I have experience working with animals in a rehabilitation clinic, veterinary office, as a pet sitter/ dog walker, and as an adoring friend. Throughout my years working with animals I have become comfortable feeding and watering; administering medication, injections, and fluids; continuing training. I am able to assist with weight management, can oversee any special dietary needs, adjust to and support animals with physical disabilities, and emotional complexities. Connecting with pets reminds me to find joy and gratitude in the simple things, and it is this attitude and outlook that makes me a great friend for your pet while you are away.
