Pet care experience
I have been around animals my whole life. Once I went out on my own i adopted and fostered.I love All critters especially reptiles and arachnids. I currently own 1 dog, 2 kittys, 2 bearded dragons , 8 chickens, 2 ball pythons,a GBB tarantula, emerald swift and veiled chameleon. I have fostered for monadnock humane society, Friendly Hoppers, House Rabbit Network, Athol animal shelter. Also fostered for private individuals while seeking medical care. I absolutely love meeting all animals of all walks of life. Will sit for any type of animal. With working full time Mon.-Friday I am available for Athol residents between 6 and 630am for half hour drop in visits. Athol/orange residents during the week after 5 for drop in visits. Weekends typically available anytime. "Tips are not required for sitters but are appreciated as Rover does take 15 -20% fees out of total costs for sitting." I am changing careers so i will have new hours but if local i can do evenings after 4:00 if right in Athol/ Orange area and anytime on the weekends. I will have alot of the holidays off so can also do them as well. I can not offer in home services unless it is a caged animal as my dog is not dog friendly and she doesnt know how to give personal space to the cats so i feel she will stress other cats out. I do have a seperate critter room as i call it as thats where my rabbits and guinea pig are that is able to be blocked off from dog. As far as caring for in the clients home i will follow the step by step instructions for their individual pets as each one is different

Em was AMAZING! She was so patient with my anxious dog and is very knowledgeable on dog body language and social cues. My dog warmed up to her so fast due to her patience and sensitivity. She was very communicative throughout the visit.

I prefer to know the animals quirks ahead of time. Is he or she hand shy, food aggressive. Do you need to approach them a certain way because of past trauma or hard of hearing. How are they on a leash? Are they cage agressive if dealing with a caged reptile or fur baby? What commands do they use while on a walk or at home etc.
A typical day
Depends on what the dogs activity level is. If its an old pup that struggles to run or walk lomg distances than i just give it love and attention. If its a high energy dog we will go for a long walk or jog. Play fetch if they like doing that. Tug o war if thats a pups thing. And of course snuggles and love.
