Pet care experience
I have cared to dogs of varying breeds all the way from pit bulls to pugs, you name it! I’ve cared for dogs including boarding and walking for about 6 years now, and began walking dogs for the extra company on walks. I have a deep love for my own dog, Charlie Brown, whom I raised from a puppy. For this reason I have adequate puppy training skills such as house training, socialization, etc.

Elyssa is an absolute lifesaver! We were in Santa Barbara over the weekend and our dog sitter fell through. I messaged Elyssa less than a day before we needed her and was hoping that she would be able to watch our dog Charlie over night. She responded to me very quickly and was very flexible with timing (we had to be at the wedding at a certain time) and moved things around in her schedule to make it work. :) The entire time she sent us photos and updates and went out of her way to make sure Charlie was comfortable despite it being one of the hottest days in Santa Barbara. She was so genuine and you could tell she really cares about your dog as if it is her own. We felt extremely comfortable with her and knew Charlie would be very loved. We are so beyond grateful that she helped us out last minute and would 1000000000% use her again when we visit Santa Barbara!
Elyssa was great! She was able to squeeze in a last minute check-in apart from a walk and Charlie loved it. She’s reliable and a strong communicator. Loved the pics she sent me too.

My backyard as of now is perfect for dogs of any size! It is large, all grass, and fenced to ensure your pup’s safety. My current home contains no other animals, and is extremely dog friendly :)

I just like to have open communication with you about any special needs your dog has/ preferences. Let me know if your dog has any anxieties, allergies, illnesses, etc. Again, keeping communication is what’s most important to me so please just let me know if there is anything important about your pup specifically.
A typical day
I absolutely love going on hikes on my own and love to walk dogs around Elings Park, and other dog friendly trails. I of course love going to the beach and playing fetch along the water. If there’s anything special your pup likes to do just let me know and I’d be happy to engage :)

Availability
As of now I am working full time during the week but typically have my weekends off. Regardless of my work schedule, I will always have time to let out your pup on my break if boarding and work 7-3 most days. Just give me a heads up on your needs and I will be happy to oblige.
