Elysia’s relationship with animals goes beyond most people‘s. She has an intellectual understanding and a deep appreciation. While this may sound a little far fetched, it’s the only way I can can explain her collection of pets, a dog, a cat, a rare species of frog and flock of chickens. It’s my understanding now that she is pursuing a degree in animal psychology. So it’s either a “deeper understanding” of the human/animal relationship, or she is plotting to create an evil animal army to take over the world. Either way, I believe she has a unique contribution to make to our relationship with animals.

I taught Elsia from grades 5 to 8 at Pepper Middle School , in Philadelphia . She was in the gifted program. Even then, Elysia loved animals and would help take care of animals that were living at Pepper. We have remained friends and I can honestly say that there is no one in my life who loves animals more than Elysia. At the present time, she has given a loving home to two poison dart frogs, 2 dogs ( Australian Sheperd, Akita) , one cat and six chickens . They are all one big happy family ! There would be no one else in the world that I would trust more with my pets than Elysia. She will be an awesome dog sitter !
