Walks in Knoxville and Oak Ridge!

Pet care experience

I have lived with dogs in the family my entire life, so I know the importance of our furry family members! My two dogs enjoy our big fenced back yard, with lots of toys to play with! Both of my pups love to play with other doggos, and we visit the dog park down the street pretty often (Victor Ashe Park)! I have cats in the house, but they stay in a separate section of the house when guest dogs are over. I work in Oak Ridge from Monday - Thursday (with a lunch break I can take to check in on your pup in Oak Ridge), and am home all day in Knoxville from Friday - Sunday. Both of my dogs are fixed, crate trained, potty trained, not food aggressive, friendly to people and dogs, and use the doggie door to go in and outside as they need (though it can be locked and they signal they need outside). Ander is an Australian Shepherd that loves to solve puzzles, learn tricks, and play with other dogs. Jack is a Whippet mix that is leaving the puppy phase into adulthood, and with that comes lots and lots of energy! Whether your dogs are high energy (like both of mine!) or slow and steady, I'm ready to help! I offer Walks, Check-ins, and Day-Care on different schedules. Please see below for details! Current Availability for Walks: Monday - Thursday: 6pm - 8pm Friday - Sunday: 8am - 8pm Current Availability for Check Ins: Monday - Thursday: 11am - 3pm (Oak Ridge) Friday - Sunday: 8am - 8pm (Knoxville) Availability for Day-Care: Friday - Sunday: 6am - 6pm (two 45-minute crate/nap times during the day) (puppy play-training free during day-care) I do prefer to have a face-to-face meeting before any scheduled visits (obviously free), so that you can have your opportunity to see me in person and see how your dog reacts to the smell of my dogs on me. For day-care, you can visit the house to see where your dog would be staying. For walks/check-ins, I ask that you allow me to visit so your dog can meet me first. Every dog is different, and I want to be sure you're 100% comfortable before you sign on for anything. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Elyse is a wonderful and caring person with a deep love of animals, she takes great pride in training her own two dogs as well as keeping them active and happy. She has watched my three dogs on occasion and they absolutely adore her.

Information Elyse R. would like to know about your pet

If a dog is not potty trained, please let me know. We can work on it, and my house has a doggie door to help avoid accidents. They can happen, especially with very young or old dogs. If a dog is sick I NEED TO KNOW! If they aren't contagious and need their medicine, we can work with that (no charge), but if they are contagious or highly ill we cannot look after them due to other dogs needing attention.

A typical day

Walks: 30 minute walks of the surrounding neighborhood or 20 minute walks of a nearby park (for driving time from your house to a park). Treats and toys for fun times(both always approved by you ahead of time)! Check-ins: Fun play, 20 minute walk of surrounding neighborhood, food and water break, toys, and treats (approved by you before hand)! Day-care: Large fenced yard with lots of shade for play! Toys, cozy rest beds, my two pups to play with (can be separated if need-be), and doggie-door in a pet-friendly house! Treats are available (with your approval), and we can try some play-training if you like. No promises with learning tricks - we do it just for fun! We will not practice tricks if you do not want to.
