Hello there! My name is Elsa and I’m so excited to work with you & your beloved pets. I’m an animal lover & energetic young professional with free time dedicated to making your pets happy. I love the outdoors and live a very active lifestyle through hiking, mountain biking, and rock climbing. When it’s time to unwind, I embrace my creative side through crafting and sewing. I’ve cared for many dogs and cats over the years, and I have cherished my time with every single one of them. Back home with my family, I was the primary caretaker for our animals & am very in tune with the needs of our furry friends. Though I’m not financially ready to adopt a pet of my own, I feel excited about the opportunity to provide the care that your animals need when you’re not around. My availability is quite open these days, so I’m ready & willing to work around your schedule always! I’m an energetic & hard working person, so if your animals appreciate a good adventure (or a cuddle on the couch) I’m the one to call :) Let me know if you have any questions!

I’ve known Elsa for a very long time, and I think she’d be a fantastic pet sitter or caretaker. She is unbelievably committed and attentive to her two dogs at home, who love her very very much. She lives a pretty active lifestyle & will take your pets on a bunch of fun outdoor adventures. After babysitting for such a long time, I’m confident that she has the skills and the responsibility needed to provide exceptional care to your pets.
Elsa is a fantastic person! She is extremely responsible and organized and she loves and understands dogs and their needs. While she was living in Portland Elsa took care of our two English Pointers on many occasions, walked them, took them to the dog park, fed them and even stayed at our house when we went out of town. If you are looking for a great pet sitter, look no further!

I live in a pet-friendly apartment complex in Slabtown, about ten minutes walking distance from the nearest dog park. My neighborhood is well known for its walkability and proximity to areas like the Pearl, Goose Hollow, Downtown, and the Alphabet District. My complex offers many amenities for animals, such as a private space dedicated to pet washing and grooming. We also have access to a private green space on top of our roof, which pets are welcome to use.

Please let me know if your furry friend has any specific medical needs and/or medication routines. I have experience working with older and/or ailing pets but want to have a conversation with you first if this is the case for your pet. This is in the interest of outlining expectations and making sure that your pet is as happy and comfortable as possible while under my care :)
A typical day
I will tailor your pet’s daily experience according to what works for them. If you’ve got an active furry friend, we’re going to the dog park or hiking at least once a day. If your buddy is more of a lazybones, we’ll take leisurely walks through the city and hang out on the couch afterwards. If your pup is injured or older, rest assured I will tailor our day to match their level of ability. Every living being is unique, and your pets are no different! I am committed to figuring out where your pet will be successful and giving them many opportunities to experience life while you’re working.

Availability
I have an extremely flexible work schedule that will vary from week to week; at my regular job, I am responsible for creating my own weekly schedules. This aspect of my work allows me a unique level of flexibility compared to others on Rover; if you are a regular client of mine, I will happily schedule to accommodate your needs!
