Pet care experience
Dogs are my first love! I grew up with dogs my whole life, and I have come to love cats as well, so if you have cats I would love to watch and play with them too. I have worked at several different veterinary practices as a technician, so I know how to handle all sizes and temperaments. PLUS: If your dog gets sick or injured, I'll know what to do. I have 2 cats and a border collie of my own at home; I consider myself equal parts cat person and dog person--why should I have to choose?? I am available any time, as pet care is my full time job and passion. If you need cat care, let me know and we can discuss a discounted rate for drop-ins or house sitting. Ellyn house and dogsat for us, and she met our expectations! She updated us twice a day with photos and let us know when she was going to be back to let out the dogs. She communicated everything with us, which was very much appreciated. Our dogs are pretty easy, but they seemed to really buddy up to her by the end of her stay!
Things did not go well with dog/house sitting. She left the dogs for too long a period of time and her communication was not very good.
Dependable and resposive.
Ellyn was great with our pups. We originally planned for only one to stay with her, but when our second dog needed to stay at home with her at the last minute, she was incredibly flexible and enthusiastic to watch both of them. One of our dogs is nearly 16 and she was very patient and accommodating to him while also taking the time to play and get the energy out with our other younger dog. She kept us updated daily as well so we could be worry-free on our vacation. Highly recommend!
