I have dog sat & cat sat since I was 7. This has consisted of me staying at the pet owner’s home for weeks at a time or sometimes me simply dropping in for a day to feed and let the pets out/ exercise them. I have taken care of old dogs, diabetic dogs, new born puppies, healthy dogs, and sickly dogs. My most current dog sitting job was during my time nannying. I nannied for a family 4/5 days a week March-July. This not only included taking care of 2 children 8 hours a day but also an elderly Shar Pei and a 1 year old 80lb Burnese Mountain Doodle. I am a full time college student. I have a very flexible schedule on the days I have off: Tues., & Fri.-Sun. I am willing to walk dogs on the days I have classes; however, it would have to fit around my classes. I have grown up with dogs in my family’s household my entire life. In fact, I have never not owned a dog. We have owned mini poodles to golden retrievers (one of which was K-9 certified). We currently have a Scottish Terrier as a family pet, but my personal dog is a 60lb pit bull/ border collie mix. I rescued him from the pound 5 years ago. He has a high energy level but a stocky build. I ran with him 6/7 days a week during high school and continue to do so in the summer. I trained him to walk/run/bike on leash. He is learning to walk & run off leash now. I house trained him, taught him to shake, sit, hug, roll over, and sit before entering or exiting a door or when his leash is being taken on or off. He loves car rides and is great with other dogs and children. I personally enjoy taking him in public places because he represents pit bulls well. I am very experienced in handling dogs of all sizes and breeds.
