Pet care experience
I started pet sitting for my neighbors when I was 12, and professionally working with animals for clients when I was 16, I've had nearly 2 years of experience in various animal hospitals with cats, dogs, and others. My skillset acquired ranges with first aid, emergency, CPR, oral/subcutaneous injection/intramuscular injection medication administration, nail trimming, sanitary grooming, fear free handling, and disease/parasite prevention. Recently began part time work at a groomers, developing skillset in bathing and basic trimming. I have experience whelping litters of puppies with puppy culture, and worked professionally at a canine daycare/boarding/breeding facility with fast acceleration to a managerial position. My passion for animals and empathetic caring of them has been lifelong. My dedication to optimal quality of life as it pertains to total joy creators in a home has been well known by everyone around me since a very young age and I am known amongst friends for my own personal menagerie.
Reviews
Ellise is absolutely wonderful! She is cheerful, loving, and kind, yet firm in managing and walking my “spirited” 2 year old dog. She is always on time. In addition, she offers training tips as well as stories and pictures from her daily walks with my dog. I most highly recommend her!
Always like booking with Ellise! She is great with dogs!
My BuddyDog loved Ellise! She took very good care of my very old, blind, diabetic puppers. She kept in touch pictures and posts. Highly highly recommend!!!

In my home my dogs routine changes with the weather, they are crated inside when temperatures are too extreme for their short coats. Otherwise they spend as much time outside as possible, well trained recall and minimal prey drive means my dogs can free roam (along with goats, chicken, peacock) while someone is home, if no one is home there are 2 fully fenced dog runs with insulated dog houses full of straw. In a clients home I can follow instructions given for whatever the dogs are used to, I strongly believe routine is important for any animal to provide sense of security.

Information Ellise S. would like to know about your pet
I have no preferences or requirements on dogs or breeds. I have experience managing and handling all sizes and temperaments to keep everyone comfortable. Adhering to the animals regular routine is very important to me, I prefer to know if they are crated, have any anxiety, are on any medication or have special requirements. Having all expectations written down allows me to follow exactly as the animal needs.
A typical day
I believe mental stimulation is as important as physical. Dogs and cats enjoy focused playtime, exercise, and puzzle solving. I always allow at least 30 minutes to an hour of rest time after portioned meals to allow for digestion and stomach settling before escalating the heart rate with exercise. Walks with obedience work in sitting and staying for cars or other walkers to pass is my preferred method of keeping the animals attention on my commands, with treat reward systems to create positive reinforcement. I think lick mats, puzzle toys, seek and find games, and obedience work to be mentally engaging, especially on days with extreme weather, or in addition to outdoor exercise.

I work part time right now and would like to spend mornings before and afternoons after work helping neighbors with pets. I'd like to offer my free and down time to improving quality of life and assisting with pet care needs. TLC is a guarantee! Living on a farm I can also offer a unique and relaxed, enriching experience while pet parents are away. I keep boarding numbers low so there is no chaos or stress.
