I have been around animals my entire life. What I have grown to understand about the difference between them and us is that they are inherently innocent and their love is unconditional. With that in mind, I treat them with unconditional care and understanding. I believe they need affection and validation and that is something I truly love giving them. I have been house sitting dogs for a decade now, so I have seen just about every personality there is to see in a dog, and I am able to adjust and adapt to each dog's needs and behaviors. There is not a puppy or a dog that I cannot take care of and nurture in the way it needs and desires to be nurtured.

I mainly want to know that the dog can feel safe and comfortable around a stranger. If the animal is somewhat skittish around strangers, and the owner thinks it could potentially mean harm to me, I'd rather know up front. I trust the discretion of the owner.
A typical day
I'm very open to the idea of creating experiences with the dog that it does normally have, but respect the wishes and boundaries of the owner. The quintessential dog walk, fetch, hike, etc. But taking the dog to a dog park, or out a to a brewery, or even inviting it over to my house to meet my dachshund (with the owner's approval of course) would be a delight!
