Pet care experience
I'm a 30 yr old pet mom of two - one elderly rescue kitty & a friendly reservation mutt puppy! I've always been a pet sitter & walker for clients and friends over the years. I've worked at a local non-profit company for 5 years and I've lived in Jackson for 9! As part of my job I help manage the ONLY dog-friendly park in Teton County & frequently spend tons of time out there for dog walks and puppy play time! I'm an active runner and I'm always looking for a doggie running buddy, I've even got the elastic dog running belt ready to go 😂! I live in a stable, animal friendly, affordable housing unit with some of the best access to outdoor areas around Jackson. At the beginning of Covid, our staff started working remotely and we haven't gone back. This leaves me plenty of time to not only care for my lovely pets (and plants), but others in search of some extra pet help throughout the day and night! I am truly the biggest fan of all animals & wildlife. I work in the conservation field. When it comes to trusting my dog with someone, Ellie is my #1. Beef, my female pitty mix -who is very shy and reserved- absolutely loves when it’s time to hang out with auntie Ellie. I can remember a time I went to pick her up and she didn’t want to come home, she had the biggest smile on from a long day of play. Ellie would always take her on these long walks and give the kind of loving, intuitive care any dog owner would give their own dog. She’s great, absolutely wonderful, with dogs.
Ellie watches my dog Loretta 1-2 days a week. It’s important to know that Loretta is an Aussie mix who suffers from an anxiety disorder which cases her to be anxious and difficult to manage at times. Ellie has been a life saver how she has cared for her & made her home a “safe” place. Loretta loves her & has flourished with the attention & love Ellie gives. I would highly recommend her!!
Ellie is beyond a caretaker of dogs, but all type of animals and plants. She has watched my dog for extended periods of time when I am on work trips. She takes him on long hikes, lake trips, trail tuns and dog parks and sends me all the photo evidence. She is very responsible with special diets, leash use and poop bags and is also just a joy to interact with. Her house is very cozy and safe for pets and is located near lots of trails. If I did not work from home, I would have Ellie take care of my furry boy all the time.
Ellie is an amazing dog owner and dog sitter. She has watched my dog multiple times and my dog absolutely loves her. My dog is a newer rescue who had pretty severe anxiety when we got her. While it has subsided some, she is not the easiest dog and definitely experiences separation anxiety when we leave her with people. Ellie was able to navigate our dog so well and give her a safe, happy and fun environment while we were away. I can not recommend Ellie enough. She is incredibly thoughtful and loving towards dogs and you can tell from her own very well trained puppy that she is committed to consistent and loving care!

A typical day
I love structured walks followed by a free-play including an activity life ball throwing and fetch. I take my puppy on at least two walks daily, each roughly 1.5 miles. I live with incredible access to the best outdoor spots for dogs in Jackson (High School Butte, Josie's Ridge, the bike path)!
