Dog Sitter with a Flexible Schedule
Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Ellie, and I am an experienced pet owner and pet sitter. I adopted and raised my beautiful yorkie Sandy, who lived until age 16. I have also done the same with 15 hamsters and 3 spoiled guinea pigs. I currently work part-time as a voice/piano teacher while earning my post-bac teaching certificate online, so I am flexible and can work around your schedule. I grew up around here, so I know the area and know a lot of dog parks and pet-friendly hiking trails if you are comfortable with me taking your pet on doggy adventures! I worked at PetCo Unleashed for a year and have a lot of training in pet health and proper care. If I see anything out of the ordinary happening with your dog, I will immediately notify you and if need be, I know several vets in the area. I am unable to petsit at my own house because my father is allergic, but the services I offer include walks (frequency is your decision), drop-ins to check on your pet while you are away or at work, and dog sitting in your home. Please feel free to contact me and we can arrange a meet and greet to get to know each other and talk about your pet's needs!
Reviews
Our puppy had such a great time with Ellie! She looked perfectly content when I dropped her off and was nice and sleepy when I picked her up! Ellie was easy to communicate with and was very flexible with our constantly changing travel plans!
Ellie was a great host for our dog while we were away!
I travel often for work. My 2 year old schnauzer Clayton has separation anxiety, he's shy around strangers and other dogs. Ellie had treats for him on hand and stayed up with him through a thunder storm all night. He warmed up to her, and now enjoys stays while I am traveling. I asked for daily texts and updates, pictures, questions and concerns, she always comes through. Definitely would recommend to a pet parent.
I left my dog Mikki with Ellie in April, since I know her from Petco. Before I left Mikki in her care, Ellie sent me an email asking for permission to take her to dog parks, small breed playtime at her job at Petco, asked for any medical concerns...I am really grateful because Mikki has a scooting problem, and Ellie was able to give her something for that, which I currently purchase regularly. Really kind girl, trustworthy, and easy to reach if need be.

I am excited to meet your dog! But naturally, there are a few questions I have in order to take care of them to the best of my ability: 1. Is he/she housetrained, or does he/she have any problems with incontinence, nervous peeing, or any other bathroom-related concerns? 2. Does he/she take any sort of medication? 3. Does he/she get along with other people/dogs well, and if not would you like me to work on socializing? 4. Are you up to date with all of your dog's vaccinations? 5. What kind of food does he/she eat, and what kind of schedule do you have for his/her day? 6. Is there anything you might want me to know about your dog's health and general temperament so I can prepare accordingly? (ex: barks at doorbell, chews sneakers, goes through trashcans, etc)
A typical day
If your dog is ok with other dogs, we can visit some dog parks and play fetch! If he/she is more comfortable being around people, I know a lot of pet friendly trails. If your dog is more of a lap dog, we can still have tons of fun walking around your neighborhood and hanging out at home.
