Fun & friendly animal lover years of experience

Pet care experience

Hi- my name is Ellie and I’m a complete animal lover. From horses, hamster cats and dogs. I have worked with dogs as my full time job for the last 8 years. I have mainly worked at various boarding kennels but have also worked at daycare centres. I have offered pet sitting services through my previous jobs, and for the last 18 months have had many dogs stay in my home. I have worked with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I have completed a dangerous dogs handling course and have also completed my dog first aid training course. Alongside my full time job I do fundraising for 2 animal rescues that are close to my heart- Tuzla shelter and Arundawn dog rescue. I have rescue dogs from both of these rescues. I have recently left my full time job as kennel manager at 4Paws Kennels in smallfield. I try to closely follow the routine that your dog has in their own home. I feel it’s beneficial to be given a rough write up of feeding times, usual exercise times and how long you would usually exercise your dog for. I can promise that your dog will be treated as if they were one of my own pets. I have a back and small front garden. My house is about a 10 minute walk from Buchan country park which has lovely walks. I also regularly book the local secure field which allows your dog to have a good run around off lead without worrying about recall etc.

Ellie is a wonderful dog sitter. This is Bobs 2nd Stay for 11 days. He had a great time, well looked after, and treated like part of the family. He was well exersized, fedd and taken care. I would highly recommend.

Ellie is such a good dog sitter/walker/boarder. She is very reliable and flexible and Arlo is obsessed with her! Ellie takes him for lovely long walks and also cares for him with cuddles. We couldn’t recommend Ellie more- she is so good to us and Arlo. He is pooped after a day with Ellie! Thank you Ellie :)

We were so happy with Ellie looking after willow from the moment my partner dropped her off she made him feel at ease and then through the week we got amazing updates of willow having the BEST time. We could then kick back and relax on our holiday knowing that willow was having so much fun with Ellie’s dog chip and even made friends with her cat snuggling up in the evenings. We are new dog owners and willow is only 9 months old so we are so grateful to have found Ellie for our time away.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ellie to anyone looking for somewhere for their precious dog to stay. Our boy is 11 year's old, blind and suffers badly with separation anxiety so we always worry when we have to leave him. However, it was clear from the moment we dropped him off that he was going to be on safe hands with Ellie. Just ten minutes after leaving our boy we received a quick update and a couple of pictures which put our minds at rest. During our holiday we received regular updates, videos and pictures and it was clear that he was so happy with Ellie and his new friends. When we picked him up if was clear he had been very well looked after and he made a new friend in Chip. We would also like to add that Ellie was extremely responsive to any questions and it was clear that she cared not only for our boy but also that we felt happy leaving him in her care. We would recommend Ellie to anyone looking for a comfortable and worry free environment for their precious dogs. It says it all that our boy didn't want to leave and misses Chip so much!

Information Ellie K. would like to know about your pet

Please make me aware if your dog has any particular needs, allergies or tendency’s. If your dog has any behavioural issues, or things that trigger certain behaviours. I am more than happy to cater to all behaviours. Generally Walks will be on lead unless owner is confident that they are ok to go off, or the walk is happening at the secure field

A typical day

I typically feed my dogs between 7.30 and 8am. This is usually followed by a short walk locally around 9am. My puppy is still being fed 4 times daily so he’ll get another feed when back from this walk. After lunch time the dogs get their main walk, usually around an hour long. This is normally at the country park by the house or I book out a secure field so they can have a good run off the lead.
