My partner and myself have both grown up around dogs, and both had multiple dogs over the last 15 years. Thes include a range of dog types and personalities; small dogs (terriers), large dogs (labradoodles and Vizslas) and a Romanian rescue. We often house sit for our families dogs, and if you know much about Vizslas, there isn’t anything we can’t handle! After buying our first home together in Bury St Edmunds, we brought home our little boy Rhett, a border terrier who is now 11 months old (neutered recently.) We have successfully, mostly got through the puppy phase and have raised a mostly well behaved and playful boy, who is very friendly to both dogs and people. We are happy to look after young dogs and are well versed in their needs and feel that they would have a great companion to play with whilst at our home. We are very outdoorsy and spend the evenings and weekends on long walks in the forest, fields, walks in villages around Suffolk, and the relatively frequent trips to the beach. Rhett loves long walks, and even the occasional trip to the pub, and would make a great friend for your dog, guaranteeing a fun visit and that they’ll be returned very calm and sleepy to you.

Our dog had a great time with Ellie while we were away! Our dog is getting into her senior years but Ellie was more than able to handle her routine and medication needs. We received plenty of photo updates and our dog became fast friends with hers. A great home-away-from-home for our pup!

Most importantly, we will treat your dog as if they were our own for the time they are with us. We are the definition of dog people and will make them feel at home, whether that’s staying with us or going out on a walk. Your dog will be allowed on the sofa and have the run of the downstairs, and have access to an endless supply of toys, and snuggle beds. We have a good sized enclosed back garden, and we live immediately next to an open greenspace, perfect for running around and chasing tennis balls! Our house is on a private street with only 17 houses and a dead end street, with the only traffic being from residents. Many of our neighbours have dogs and it is a safe and quiet location, ideal for your dog. We LOVE documenting our boys adventures and will make sure to send regular picture and video updates!

A typical day
My partner and I work in the office Monday to Thursday. We could look after them from a Thursday evening until Sunday evening and during that time they would be able to have up to 3 good walks a day, especially at weekends where we like to take them out for longer walks either towards the coast or through thetford forest.

Availability
I work from home on Fridays ad spend the day in the house and take Rhett out on either a couple of short walks, or one longer walk in the woods. Both my partner and I are around on weekends and will not leave your dog alone at any point and available for walks, dog sitting or both. We will take them out to the park where Rhett loves to chase tennis balls, or to the local woods (Kings Forest). If your dogs is staying with us overnight, they will sleep downstairs with Rhett or can be kept in a separate room with a baby gate – our house is open plan but have baby gates between rooms and at the bottom of the stairs.
