Animals make everything better!

Pet care experience

I grew up with both cats and dogs and have been taking care of other people's animals since I was in middle school. I have experience fostering bottle baby kittens and am able to trim cats' claws.

Ellie was fantastic as always. I have a grumpy old man cat who required multiple medications she is wonderful with him. I can travel without worrying about Magnus’ well being thanks to Ellie.

Ellie is just the best. She is always flexible, very communicative, sends such great pictures, and of course takes excellent care of my cat. I feel so lucky to have her as my cat’s sitter.

Ellie was wonderful! This was my first time using Rover so I was nervous, but she put me at ease with lots of pictures and videos, accurate and of good duration visits, and gentle, genuinely caring touch with my senior kitty. Ellie was easy to work with, and very good to my boy and making me feel connected to him while I was gone, as well as making me at ease that he was comfortable and happy. I’d recommend Ellie to anyone and plan to use her in the future. (It should be noted that my cat is a 15 year old Maine Coon who is a bit grumpy and requires medication every 12 hours.)

Safety, trust & environment

Safety and trust are a must for me, both with the owner and with the pet. When I first set up a job I make sure to get all the information that the owner feels is important and any additional information that I still have questions on. I keep an open line of communication. I build trust with the pet and understand that it takes more time to warm up to new people for some. As someone who has pets, I know that it can be stressful trying to find the right person to take care of your pet. I take what I appreciate sitters have done for me and put that into my own practice.

Information Ellie B. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your pet has any allergies and/or medications I need to be aware of. Are there places they love getting petted or places I should avoid? How are they when crossing paths with other animals? Any additional information is greatly appreciated!

A typical day

I like to let the pet decide the course of the visit. If they can choose the direction of the walk they want to go, though I do know some great places for squirrel sightings. If they prefer to stay inside after taking care of business, we can play or have lots of cuddles and pets. The same goes for cats. If they have a special place in the home where they like to get attention or play, we will go there (even if it is sitting on the stairs).
