Pet care experience
I’ve had dogs in my family throughout my whole life and helped train our family’s dogs. Family and friends rely on me to help with their pets frequently! I am very comfortable with dogs of all sizes. I have taken care of dogs in their old age and have experience administering oral medications to dogs.

Ellena is an excellent mom to our dog, Benny! She creatively keeps him entertained with treats hidden in toys, makes sure he’s safe when he’s out and about on walks or at the dog park. When it comes to dogs that are not her own, she gently introduces herself, making sure to let them sniff. If you’ve got special directions for your dog, she’ll be sure to follow them diligently too (she’s a Virgo after all). Ellena used to volunteer at the Cincinnati Zoo, so she knows a thing or two about animal training too:). Finally, Ellena is a caretaker at heart (that’s why she’s studying to be a healthcare provider!)

I take care for animals on Rover with the same care that I have for my own. In my home, I have a dog bed for your animal’s comfort and space for any toys they might like to play with. There is a small fenced-in area where I live, though I prefer taking animals on-leash to nearby parks where there is more room for them to play and meet other dogs (if that is what they like). My building is pet friendly.

A typical day
I love to take dogs on walks in Victorian Village, to Goodale Park and dog parks in Columbus I love hiking and if your dog does too, I’d love to take your pet to a local trail! There is a porch area where I like to work outside, so if your dog likes that (mine does), we can sit outside in the fenced in area together and enjoy the summer sun :)

Availability
I am a medical student with a flexible, remote schedule. Taking care of your dog will be the best part of my day! I like to take study breaks by going on walks in nearby neighborhoods, and as someone who lives alone, I enjoy having a pet companion to join me.
