I highly recommend Ellen as a petsitter. She has a special connection and love for animals that I have been lucky enough to witness over the past 15 years. Ellen rescued a dog that had been returned to the shelter and was very distrusting of people and tried to run away on several occasions. Ellen sought out support to make Evie at ease, read books and online information, sought out dog trainers and spent countless hours nurturing Evie until she began to trust again. Ellen did this with love, patients and loving guidance. Animals have a very special place in Ellen's heart. She will be a very wonderful caregiver for your pet- always kind, loving, highly responsible and will listen to any wishes you have for your pet in her care.

Ellen and I have been friends and walked our dogs together for many years. She is a real dog person and has a way of relating to dogs as individuals. She really tunes in to them and has a gentle, calm approach as well. She is both dependable and trustworthy. She has also helped out with my cat when I was out of town. Ellen is one of the most conscientious dog owners I’ve ever met. I have worked in the past with she and her dog Evie. She adheres to providing structure, walk times and loves to her dog Evie deeply . I have seen and used her thorough directions that involve carefully curated, meals and walk times, petting time, reinforcement schedules, Evie’s preferences including likes and dislikes. I witnessed her talking directions and praising Evie consistently and disciplining in kind and relaxed manner . I have recently hiked with Evie and can say Evie has been trained well. I hired Ellen to care for my two cats while I was on vacation for a week. She took such good care of them. Followed all instructions and even talked to them to make them more comfortable as they are very shy with new people. She is trustworthy and dependable and loves all animals. I'd hire her again.
