Pet care experience
I have walked dogs and dog/housesat a wide variety of dogs over the years, providing excellent care to them with frequent walks and pets if preferred (I sure do!). I love taking dogs on trails for walks/hikes if preferred. I have taken dogs to the vet when needed, worked with an anxious dog that can become aggressive, worked with multiple dogs at once, and worked with older dogs with specific needs. I am interested in information about dog psychology and positive reinforcement training and completed a Karen Pryor online clicker training class in 2017 with a friend's dog as I don't yet have my own. To sum it up, I love dogs and can't wait to spend time with yours with as much love as I've provided in the past. Please note that I have dogsat outside of Rover recently (2022) and am happy to provide references.

Ellen was very professional from the day we had an initial meeting to introduce Lola. Lola is a gregarious and overwhelming puppy for those who are not familiar with Great Danes or a large breed, but Ellen alway remained very calm and even tempered. She responded appropriate to Lola as a dog trainer would...Ignoring bad behavior and giving attention when she was calm. Ellen watched Lola overnight at our home. She respected our place and kept it tidy. Ellen kept us informed about her arrival and departure. I would highly recommend her and I would definitely use her again if need be.
Ellen absolutely loves dogs and will love and take care of your dog like it was her own. She is extremely patient and understanding of dogs' various behaviors and personalities. She lived with me and my dog, who has behavioral issues, for over a year and my dog could not have loved her more. You will not regret having Ellen watch and take care of your fur baby.

I enjoy runs and hikes and would love to take your dog with me if it's something they like doing too. Otherwise I'm happy to get outside for walks, even if it's raining (I used to live in Seattle)!

Availability
I work at a school Mondays through Fridays so am free on occasional weekends, or late afternoon/evenings/early mornings on weekdays to give your dog plenty of exercise/love but unfortunately can't work from (your) home.
