I love your dogs already!
Pet care experience
I have just graduated from Skidmore College and recently moved to San Francisco to be a preschool teacher! In NY I volunteered as a dog caretaker at Best Friends Animal Society, and sometimes fostered for them. I really enjoy exercise and would love to help dogs get some too! Dogs deserve the most possible outside time, and I believe the walk isn’t over until the dogs are happy. I would always be prepared with a backpack of toys and treats and dog supplies. I could probably walk multiple dogs at a time, and I would especially love to take them to dog parks throughout the city. My schedule is very flexible.

Ellen is wonderful! She is very enthusiastic about taking care of and interacting with dogs of all sizes (including my Doberman). She is very eager, willing, easy to work with, and will show your dogs a lot of love!
Ellen is hands down my dogs favorite friend. Whenever Ellen comes over my dog Lucy, a pocket beagle, cries out of excitement to see her. Lucy loves Ellen because she is very good with animals and knows when Lucy wants to be pet, fed, or just wants quiet time. Lucy loves going on walks with Ellen, which is rare because Lucy does not go on walks with dog walkers or anyone outside the family. Overall I would highly recommend Ellen, as she would be the first person I would trust with my beagle Lucy.
Ellen is a great dog person. She has great ability to walk and care for dogs. She has taken care of my dogs personally on many occasions. She would be the perfect person for the job.
Ellen is one of the few people I know who loves animals and dogs more than I do. Whenever Ellen sees a dog on the sidewalk she always asks the owner if she can pet the dog and they all love her and play with her. Ellen met my dog, Cori, in January of this year and was brilliant with her as well. Cori is normally a little skidish around strangers but with Ellen she got over it very quickly and let Ellen walk her about an hour after they met. I know she wants this job so much she even told me she would volunteer just to be with the dogs. Ellen would be a great dog caregiver because for her it is genuinely not about the money, it is about her love of the animals and I know she would do anything to make them happy.

A typical day
I would love to take your dogs on walks through Central Park as I live just two blocks away! It makes me sad that in New York City, the act of “walking the dog” is almost always just a quick trip outside of one’s apartment building before resuming an indoor lifestyle! I would absolutely love a chance to take your dogs on long walks and give them the exercise and outdoor experiences they deserve!
