Pet care experience
Hi and thank you for considering me to look after your pets! I have over 20 years of pet care experience, primarily with horses, donkeys, dogs, and cats (plus the occasional chicken). I grew up helping take care of my family's many dogs and horses. I've owned and been the primary caregiver for my share of dogs, cats, and/or horses. Currently, I have a full crew, with a dog, two horses, three chickens, and five cats. All are incredibly loved and spoiled, with the horses and Nat (the dog) having several acres to roam and the cats getting their fresh air via a spacious enclosed catio. I spent several years as a foster mom for a dog rescue, taking in and finding homes for over 10 dogs of all shaped, sizes, training, and temperament. I have experience with the full gamut of pet care. I have in depth experience with administering meds, brushing teeth (including cats' teeth), maintaining multiple special diets in a house full of animals, walking reactive dogs, walking and caring for animals with movement restrictions, identifying behavioral changes which may indicate an issue, training puppies, and handling pets with special needs of all kinds (illness, injury, age etc).

I care for all animals I encounter as if they were my own. I make sure to have a solid understanding from the owner about the needs, restrictions, and personality of any pets I handle. I'm honest about my ability to meet those needs, and I take care not to put any client's animal in a position where they feel stressed or uncomfortable beyond the basics of interacting with me as a new person to them.

For their comfort, I'd like to know their boundaries as well as what type of pets they like and where they liked to be petted.
A typical day
I love to make sure your dog gets both their mental and physical exercise, with lots of play and exercise as well as walks to places with new smells. For cats, if play is their thing, I have spent hours with a feather toy. If cuddles are their vibe, then drop ins will involve lots of pets and cuddles.

Availability
I currently work full time with a flexible telework schedule. I am occasionally available for midday drop ins or walks but will always make that clear well in advance. I am broadly available in the morning, evening, and weekend. I have my own farm to feed, so I am very organized and punctual because I know the importance.
