Pet care experience
Dogs have been a part of my family since I was a little girl. I trained my own puppy, and I have experience caring for the young and growing, as well as elderly or ill dogs. Pets are family, and I treat them as such.

Ellen has always been terrific with our two dogs. She is always attentive to their needs, and is especially good at playing with them indoors and outside. She truly loves being with them!
I'm Ellen's father, and I have watched her with dogs for 20 years and she loves them and is very good with them. Two of her dogs (a Peekapoo and a Shih Zu) passed in recent years after long happy lives, and now she has a lovable and much-loved Shorkie named Chip. With Chip, I've seen Ellen's emergent nurturing material instincts grow stronger: she takes the lead in feeding her, walking her, and attending to her medical needs. All of the dogs I've mentioned are small, but Ellen also loves the dog in our house: an 180-pound English Mastiff named Penny, who rushes to the door and nuzzles Ellen every time she walks in the house. Penny loves to play with Ellen and I hope you see some pictures documenting that fact.

If you need me to drop in for your pet, I will be diligent and respectful of yours and your pet’s needs. I’m good at following direction and will be attentive. Let’s set up a meet and greet so that I can introduce myself, and get to know your furry loved one and their needs. If you’d like me to walk your dog(s), let me know if they have a favorite route or park to go to in your neighborhood. I’m used to going on multiple long walks per day to tire out my 1-year old puppy!

A typical day
If your dog has a favorite route, I’ll gladly walk it with them! I’m also good at creating new routes and giving dogs plenty of time to sniff new and exciting smells. We can stop at a park or play with a favorite toy. I usually take my dog for at least a mile walk, then after we come home she loves to play tug-and-throw with her toys, so I’m used to lots of activity and exercise around walk time.

Availability
Whether you hire me for walks or for drop-ins, your pet(s) will be the only one(s) in my care during the time we spend together. I’m an actor and a writer in addition to a happy dog-owner, so I have flexible availability during weekdays between 6am - 4pm. Evenings and weekends tend to be busy, but I’m willing to work with you if your pet needs some extra time. :)
