Pet care experience
I love dogs and they seem to love me! I plan to only care for one dog (or more from the same family) at a time. Raised my black lab and keeshound along with my kids and miss them terribly. We had puppies fairly often. I'm now retired and have plenty of time and love to care for your pet. I've taken care of a variety of animals from birds to goats, pigs and horses. I would be glad to help with any of your animal family. I do not feed dogs at the table, so you don't need to worry about me creating a beggar but do love to give treats (if you allow) while cooking or after diner. If they snuggle, even better!

Ellen is a dog lover, a cuddle, and has a beach where they can run! I have a chihuahua but she’s a lot to handle (energy wise) and Ellen watches her regularly.

Your dog will have free run in my house, outside also if they tend to stay close and that is ok with you. The island does have a strict lease law but they can be loose on the beach if they are under voice control. At your home, we will go by your rules with plenty of loving!

A typical day
I like being active. So plenty of time outside. Playing fetch, tug of war, walks, beach time when available. Socialization if allowed. Snuggling of course!

Availability
I am retired and live on an island in Casco Bay. Your dog will have my total attention, plenty of fresh air and walks on the beach if they stay with me. If we are at your house I would like to take your dog with me for rides , visits with friends and family when appropriate, wherever I go with your approval.
