I’ve always loved and appreciated all animals, and growing up with a dog, and two cats only reinforced this over time. So at age 10, I started my own neighborhood “business,” where I would walk and groom the neighbor's dogs. To my parents' surprise, our neighbors trusted my ten-year-old self; from there, my love and passion grew! As I got older, I started volunteering at Homeward Trails animal shelter. There, I cared for the newborn pups and walked the older dogs. It was a rewarding job; I would do it again in a heartbeat. Once I grew up and prepared to move out, it was a no-brainer that I would care for our family dog. As she grew into her senior years, her care became more difficult, but I stuck by her side every step of the way. Going through this experience gave me a huge soft spot for elderly dogs. If you choose me to watch your furry companion, I promise to go above and beyond to ensure their comfort and meet their unique needs. I have extensive experience with dog training and primarily use positive reinforcement techniques - this way, I make sure your pal and I communicate in a language they actually understand! We go on daily walks and have supervised play in our 1 acre yard. Your pup will always be safe with the use of longline leashes and access to our neighbors fenced in acre (so they can run to their hearts desire!). All play is 100% supervised and your pup will have access to our filtered water. Treats, toys, bones and food will only be given by the discretion of the pets owner. Crating is easily done if needed or requested. This will all be discussed before booking!
