Pet care experience
I miss my fur grandbabies! I have had pets since I was a little girl - grew up on a farm in Minnesota that had dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, turkeys, pigs, cows, and a horse! I owned a successful dog walking business when I lived in Heritage Hill many years ago and miss it!! Fun fact: I once got a concussion after slipping on ice while walking a neighbor's beautiful black lab...the next day, I went to a neighbor's house to borrow an egg, slipped on a patch of ice and hit my head on the exact same spot ( Maybe not such a fun fact?) As for my own furry kids: I have been humom to: Priscilla - a gorgeous whippet, Oliver, my shih tzu baby, both of whom are no longer living,...and am currently grand-humom to my daughter's dog Evelyn, a very spoiled chihuahua. Please note that I am car-less by choice and prefer to work within an easy walkable/biking radius from my home inn the Heritage Hill/Downtown areas. I have a healthy respect for animals and will treat your pet with care!

I am so incredibly fortunite to live next to Elle for many many reasons. One of them is the way she helps my husband and I care for our dog. She goes out of her way to love on him both when we need her to and even when we don't ask. He is yappy and easily scared/wary of people and yet she is one of his favorites (you should hear him pining for her when he sees her in the backyard). There has never been a doubt or concern in my mind that she would not take excellent care of him and love him as hre own. Elle is patient, kind, hard working, and incredibly generous in spirit towards all. I can't recommend her enough.

History of biting, rough housing, male/female preference for humans...the basics...I have never been bitten by a dog and do not plan to! Re the questions regarding doggie first aid/CPR, meds, etc...I was licensed and bonded when I owned my dog pet sitting business and learned how to give meds/shots, CPR/ first aid during those years. I admit to being rusty, but I remember it...just not an expert who does it on a regular basis
A typical day
I live in the Heritage Hill neighborhood of Grand Rapids and am just a short walk to the downtown area of the city. Walking is my favorite exercise, so, rain, shine, cold...I'm out there! My city has changed so much...your doggo and I will spend lots of time exploring: newly cleaned and beautified city parks, streets lined with gorgeous historic homes, and the Wealthy and Cherry street corridors where thoughtful business owners leave bowls of refreshing water outside for 4-legged passers by...
