Pet care experience
I’ve had dogs in my family my entire life, both big and small. Starting in high school I would do extended stays for family and friends with dogs of all sizes and amounts of training. I’ve had some recent experience with other pets like cats. I’ve been working on being able to give medications, but am capable of bathing and general grooming. I’ve worked with a few older dogs as well as puppies, but am most comfortable when they’re a few years old. I know how hard it can be to leave your pets for work or travel, so that’s why I’m here!

Ella was awesome again! She kept us updated throughout our whole trip and even brought in packages that got delivered we didn’t know were coming. She takes great care of our home and our dogs. Our dogs absolutely love when she comes to stay and watch them. We couldn’t ask for someone better to take care of our girls! We will always use her when she’s available and highly recommend her to anyone who is looking to have someone come stay and watch their animals!

I’ve worked with dogs who can roam free and be crated. I like to just relax with the dogs and play a bit when visiting them, including walks and treats with some training if the dog is on the younger side. I value safety for all pets so if there’s any current training, code words, or specifics in routine used I’d love to have a list left out so theres no confusion on my end! I always require a meeting beforehand to ensure the dogs are comfortable with me and I’m capable of watching them with the information I’m given.

I’d love to have a list of words (if used) so to avoid problems with feeding or training if it’s going on. A general list of the dogs favorite things to do or toys helps go along way. Any medications and times taken or instructions if not oral are necessary.
A typical day
The activities all depend on the dogs. If they just like to chill, we can cuddle up on the couch and have endless belly rubs. If your pup is more active and has the appropriate equipment, I’m down for a good walk around the neighborhood or to a nearby park. I tend to try to stay inside on days it’s hotter so the dogs don’t overheat but some playing in the yard or house with toys is always fun.

Availability
I’m currently not working, so I have ample time to play and walk your pets. I am looking for other jobs so I do require bookings about 3 days in advanced so I can prepare and make sure I have time to plan around any extra events going on. I’ve done about 5 years of care for a family where I’ve stayed overnight as well as just hanging out with dogs for a few hours with dogs of all ages and breeds.
