The Dogmom - patient & experienced
Pet care experience
I’ve been a Rover sitter (and the best dog aunt) for many years. I adopted my first dog 7 years ago after growing up with pets. I LOVE all animals, and truly delight in being The Dogmom. During the pandemic, I thought I’d try again and ended up with an anxious, reactive, poorly behaved Australian Shepherd who needed more love and patience than I expected. I had to quickly learn how to train and socialize him, as he was a total mess — couldn’t walk, lunging at people and dogs, nipping at strangers. Within a few months I had my dream dog. Within 3 years I have a dog who is calm, loved, and confident who started out difficult and aggressive. Why am I sharing this? Because no matter what your pets needs are, I can handle them. I can get your dog to stop pulling on walks. I can get your dog to feel safe and calm in public settings. I can build trust with an anxious dog and teach them basic commands that make your life easier. I’ve learned from experience how to handle ANY dogs needs, even when it might be a stressful situation. When your dogs are with me, they are safe, they are loved, and they are treated like my own. You don’t have to worry about escape artists, anxiety, reactivity, or boredom. You don’t have to worry about liabilities or worst case scenarios. I’ve got you.
Reviews
Sent me photos and kept me updated throughout the stay. Very nice couple!
Ella and her boyfriend were flexible with us and great with the dogs. They kept us up to date on how our girls were doing and answered our questions in a timely manner. We will use them again.
They took EXCELLENT care of my dog and I highly recommend them. They were loving, patient and kept me very much informed as to how my dog (Mitzy) was adjusting while I was away. I will definitely use them again. On a scale from 1-10, I give them a 12!
Ella did a terrific job watching our Weimaraner, Murdoch. She was very proactive and did a great job communicating with us about Murdoch while we were away. He was a happy pup when we got home the next day! Thanks, Ella!

Safety, trust & environment
My house has a fenced in backyard, and since one of mine is a small escape artist the security of the fence is checked daily. In your homes, I will follow the schedule and care they are used to. I hike and walk a lot, so you can count on me for an adventure. Your dog will not interact with any other dogs unless we have agreed it’s okay, including my own. Safety and security is my #1 priority, followed by belly rubs and treats.

Information Ella M. would like to know about your pet
If your dog has any behavior issues, I am happy to work with them to gently correct and mitigate. If you have any boundaries around people or dog interactions, as well as any tendencies I will need to know that. I want to make sure your babies are being treated the same way when you’re gone.
A typical day
I love to explore new trails and dog-friendly areas around Harford and Baltimore. My dogs love the Ma and Pa trail so we go pretty often. My dogs love to play fetch and enrichment games as well, so I know how to keep them busy, exercised, and stimulated. A tired pup is a happy pup.
