Ever since I was little I’ve loved animals- especially dogs. I walked and took care of friends and neighbors dogs all the time until I was 10 when we got two dogs of our own. Part of the agreement with my parents for getting our dogs was that I would be their primary caretaker, so for the last 9 years or so I’ve been taking care of my pups. Even still when my friends go out of town, I’ll offer to dog sit. During my junior year of high school I also fostered a 7 week old puppy for an elementary school auction for 2 months which was a challenge for sure but so much fun and taught me a lot of responsibility. I can’t wait to hopefully get back into dog sitting!
